Wagamama is finally back in Ireland and my chopsticks are delighted. Wandered into the soft launch (totally accidental, not at all stalking the opening date…) and scored a free taster, yes please! Staff were flying around like ninjas, super friendly and efficient. Food landed at the table faster than I could say “extra chilli oil” and it was absolutely delicious. The only issue was the noise, music slightly too loud. If they keep this up, Wagamama Liffey Valley will be the go to spot for noodle therapy and ramen cravings. Five stars and a happy belly. Will 100% be back (possibly too often).

Food was good. Bang bang cauliflower is super nice. I tried edamame with chilli and garlic salt, wok fried greens, chicken gyoza, chilli squid, chicken breast ramen and prawn ramen(got chicken breast replaced with prawns). We had drinks- tropical and kickstart Kid had own children’s juice. Everything was yummy except for kickstart drink( husband did not like much much). The ramen broth was too simple and lacked some flavours. Could be probably more flavourful. But overall it was nice experience.

A long awaited return! I'm so happy to see Wagamama back — I really missed it after so many locations closed. The Liffey Valley spot is fantastic! The staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was relaxed but lively, and the service was quick and efficient. Most importantly, the food was just as I remembered — fresh, full of bold flavours, and beautifully presented.

A few weeks ago myself and my partner visited for dinner. We were greeted nicely and enthusiastically by a nice young woman. We wanted to sit outside, no issues. Ordered our food and a drink. My ramen was brought out first, no issues. A young black man with a beanie hat on came outside with my drink on a tray with one hand and the other hand in his pocket, he carelessly slid the tray onto the table hitting items on the table (and sighs) and still with one hand carelessly plops the (wrong) drink just off the tray NO care for service or interaction and walks away. We weren’t impressed but let it go, he then returned with my partners food with one hand STILL in his pocket the other gripping the side of the bowl and his thumb just barely IN the food and the spoon in his palm between the bowl. He plops the food down spilling it and landing it on the spoon and just pushes it off and walks away. No apology, no interaction, no respect. Due to the similarity in age between us and the staff we didn’t feel comfortable complaining. As someone who’s worked many years in hospitality roles I thought this was actually insane. I’ve never been treated like that by a server he looked completely unbothered to be there, but it gets worse. Not once did anyone approach us and ask if it was okay or if we needed anything else (which I understand we were outside and it was somewhat busy inside) While eating our food the guy in the beanie is outside and a black lady joins him she lays across the seats to the right of us and they are chatting about work and how they’re not on break they’re just not bothered to be inside. Still not even a “hello are yous okay for everything?”

We paid online and left, the First Lady that greeted us was nice, but €65 for two ramen dishes and one cocktail that wasn’t even the right one was shocking. I couldn’t even say my drink was wrong because nobody came out. My beef ramen was ok but my partner thought his fish one was tasteless.

Should really work on your customer service or else change them, for a place that looks really beautiful and high prices everything else...

We are old customers from Wagamama, mostly the Dundrum store. Today we took the whole family (9 people) to try the Liffey Valley’s…. And what an awful experience! Food taking AGES to come, scattered service (last order only arrived 30min after the first one served had FINISHED!), terrible drinking service (what is so difficult about water for the table, 2 cokes and 1 sparkling? Get the order, go to the fridge, bring to the table… done!). Standard Wagamama procedure: writing the food code in your seat paper. In this case, what was the point if the staff would come and ask EVERYONE until they got it right ?! At least when it was mine I said “is it 40? Because I have 40 written here so if this one is 40 it is mine…” Pointless. They kept asking the whole table all the time. Expensive bill (not unusual, just as expected) BUT….. for this service ?! One of the staff came at some point and asked how was everything (standard procedure). We politely explained the whole thing. We had to order the sparkling water 3 times !! And I told her “and it has not come yet…. But wanna bet there will be 3 waters on the bill?” When the bill came…. Guess? Three sparkling waters !! 😂😂😂 Anyway…. Still like Wagamama. Just not there anymore !!! (P.S: put the music volume down, folks…. Crowded place, we wanna...

Updated review October 25th. I will not be eating here again after lunch today. The Katsu we ordered had a salad which we had eaten part of until a giant earwig appeared.... We called over the manager apparently the salad is not washed....it comes in pre-prepared. The manager apologised, we couldn't stomach any of our food and left. We will be contacting wagamama via email and I will be logging with the FSAI. Disgusting. We won't be back.

Previous 4 star review from June. Great to have wagamama back. The food was solid as usual, Katsu and Yaki Soba just like they were from before closing. I will say some issues with the service. We had 4 visits to our table to give us food and drinks we didn't order. They also wanted to take plates before we were finished which I really don't like. Also paid the bill via link on the table setting....we were then told at the end we weren't meant to pay this way? We were 100 percent not told that when sitting down. Hopefully things settle down and service...
