Hogs and Heifers – Great Food, Great Vibes, Even Better Staff
We absolutely love coming to Hogs and Heifers. It's quickly become one of our go-to spots — we've probably been 6 or 7 times now, and every single visit has been consistently fantastic.
One of the things we really appreciate is the atmosphere. Whether it's a busy weekend or a quieter weekday, the energy is always upbeat and welcoming. We usually try to arrive a bit earlier than peak time because there are loads of TVs showing different games, which is perfect for sports fans but it that’s not your thing get in earlier. It's a great place to relax, grab a drink, and not miss a single moment of whatever you're into.
But what really sets this place apart is the staff. Every time we’ve visited, the service has been friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. The team is super accommodating and always seems happy to help — whether it’s suggesting a menu item, checking in without being intrusive, or just sharing a quick chat that makes you feel like more than just another table. You can tell they enjoy working there, and that really comes through in how they treat guests.
They always making sure you’re comfortable and looked after. It gives the place a laid-back, easygoing vibe that makes you want to stay longer.
And of course, the food never disappoints. Whether it’s burgers, wings and everything that we’ve tried has been lovely. It’s clear they put care into the menu, and it’s always hot, fresh, and exactly what you want.
All in all, Hogs and Heifers is the kind of place you come back to again and again. Great food, fun atmosphere, and genuinely lovely people working there — it ticks all the boxes. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a casual spot with a bit of character and consistently...
Read moreI went here with my boyfriend this Wednesday. The food itself and the drinks were great but the staff was somewhat rude. Our server got our order (my partner ordered the southern fried chicken waffle and said it very explicitly that he also didnt want any coleslaw and sauce). When the food came, he was given the southern fried chicken burger with coleslaw, and when we told him that's not what we ordered, the waiter tried to argue that he said the southern fried burger. The waiter never verified our order back to us as we ordered it nor did he write it down anywhere, which may be the cause of confusion. We later got the chicken and waffle, but with coleslaw and sauce on it again.
It cost bit over €55 for the drinks and the meals. I found it unfair that we were charged coleslaw as a side (5.50 on its own) when we specifically said we didn't want it.
Overall, decent experience, just would be nice if the waiters took more care in getting orders right and accepted their mistakes. It happens to everyone and I empathise that it could've been a rough shift...
Read moreOverall, food was great! Can’t fault it at all and service was quick and friendly.
The only downside to this restaurant is the volume of the music. It was so loud that it was hard to hear each other, it might have just been an off day but, I felt the music was way too loud… especially when the place was practically empty. (It looses a star for this)
We got a starter of wings, and well done hogs and heifers for giving the right sized portion for a starter, I was very surprised as this was able to be shared (in other restaurants it’s single portion for one person regardless of size chosen)
The Louisiana burger was great. The half chicken was good also however, I felt that it was a very small chicken 🤔 still enjoyed it regardless.
The cheese cake for dessert was a nice end to the meal, again this was shared and we both agreed that we’ve had better 😆
Total paid approx €55 (including 2 drinks) Reasonably priced for each meal and I would go again and recommend to others.
Ps. There is a small lift to get up to the restaurant so, it is...
