Greenmount House — Restaurant in The Borough District of Drogheda

Went out today to watch the rugby. The rugby was on the tv that we sat beside. We ordered a meal and were having drinks... over an hour after we arrived men came in and sat beside us.. they asked the bar man to change the tv to the horse racing, which the barman done... while 5 other people including ourselves were sitting there watching the rugby. When I asked the bar man to switch it back to the rugby which we were watching.. I was told "it doesn't matter that you were here before them men, they are regulars of 20 years and you are not" absolutely shocking. We were there before the men arrived and it should have been left at the rugby. Would not recommend the Greenmount to anyone at all. They put their "regulars" above anyone else even though we were there for a good 1.5 hours before them. Shocking behaviour from them. Won't...

Made a reservation for 7 people, they gave us a table for 6 and said they couldn't sit us at a larger table, so instead they pulled a chair over to the corner of the table for 6, cramping us all together. They never apologised for the mistake and said it was booked for 6 people (it wasn't, it was booked for 7). The light bulb above our table was flickering constantly creating an uncomfortable and distracting atmosphere. The food was rotten, lasagne was salty, greasy and burnt on top and the vegetable soup was way too salty. Asked for chunky chips and they served us skinny chips instead. Wouldn't recommend, there's so many tastier places...

Went in today for a late lunch meeting , two young ladies one at the entry point who asked if we had a reservation and proceeded to shout at the other young lady that tables where reserved this was just after 3pm so we went to sit at one of the many empty tables to be shouted at again about reserved tables very odd behaviour, a third lady took our order very professional and social , another girl dropped our food over who didn't know what she was actually serving very very odd .
