A small family-run restaurant that really is a little slice of Italy in Drogheda which I can't get enough of. It's a pity they are only open till 6pm. The shop does not have many tables so be sure to call up and book a table not to miss out. Though 3 times now, they have been able to accommodate me on the outdoor tables as well as inside. Spaghetti with Clogherhead prawns is an indulgent pasta dish with plenty of fresh prawns - it's the special there so definitely go for it when on offer. The seafood chowder is so unexpectedly amazing...every spoon is filled with rich buttery crabmeat and other seafood. Funghi ravioli is handmade and has this richness that is difficult to describe. Their handcut chips is really freshly handcut and fried with clean oil. The Caprese ciabatta is another highlight of great ingredients used. Suffice to say - am delighted to find out about them at the start of my year in Drogheda! 😍

Simona and the team are an amazing group of people with a fabulous restaurant in the heart of Drogheda. It's a little slice of authentic Italian food and hospitality at affordable prices. In all seriousness, its better than the food I ate while in Italy! I was there for the first time earlier this week, and today was my 3rd visit (yes, it was that good!). The pasta is consistently, perfectly al dente, and each sauce is unique with brilliant flavours and textures. My favourite dish so far is the Canneloni, and favourite starter is the garlic pizza bread (although the bruschetta with mozzarella is a close 2nd). Plus, the coffee is smooth and enjoyable after a meal. I prefer the coffee here to most of the local hipster shops (no offense to them, its a personal preference!). This is now our Italian spot...wouldn't go anywhere else!

We’ve been trying to come and eat here for over a year!!! That’s how busy this place is. Other times we tried to come was evening and they were closing 😅.well today was the day and they squeezed us in for an hour! 😰 we made it work! It was worth it! Delicious!!! Absolutely delicious! I also had a cappuccino with an extra shot of coffee and it was so lovely! Yuuuuum! My carbonara was amazing and my husband wanted to get the carbonara but I convinced him to get the special with the shrimp and look how fab it looked and it tasted even better! Well done guys!!!

Popped in for a quick bite, Simona told me that she needed the table back by 1 pm and I told her I only had about 30 minutes. They seemed busy so I ordered to takeaway. I had not been told that it would take 30 minutes or so to pick up a takeaway even though they knew I had only 30 minutes to eat. I was surprised when a regular came in 15 minutes after me and ordered lasagne and was first told it would not be ready for a while and it would be best to order in advance but then Simona said she would go to the kitchen and organise it straight away. When I had waited 20 minutes, I asked when my order might be ready and Simona looked shocked and said it takes more than 2 secs. I waited longer and still no sign of order so got up to leave. The waitress shouted to the kitchen and they boxed it up.Simona started shouting from behind the counter you have to order in advance, there is a wait time (except if you are a friend of the owner obviously they do not have to queue). Really embarrassing to be shouted at in front of everyone. If they told me how long the takeaway would be I could easily have gone somewhere else when they knew I was pushed for time. Food was OK but not worth going through that experience again. I think they are not looking for new customers and are only interested in their regulars judging by...

I booked a table at Simona for 6 people for a birthday lunch. When we arrived we were told they were still getting our table ready. Eventually we were asked if we wanted to continue waiting for our table of if we were happy for the party to be split and sit at two separate tables. We advised we didn't want to be split. Eventually after waiting past our booking time we prepared to leave. We were told that another group were sat at our table and they were told the table was booked for 4pm but that we must wait for them to finish their conversation before we can have our table. I'm sorry, I called 24 hours ahead and made a booking, why should I have to stand around in the doorway for 15 minutes because you gave away my table?? We left and went to pizzeria which is up the road. I would highly recommend pizzeria and am delighted at how it turned out. I will never set foot in...
