Came here this morning as there was a sign outside the door for “breakfast served all day” So me and my partner decided to go in as we had a craving for a full Irish We made our order and took a seat. We were told the chef had stepped out for five minutes that we had to wait which we had no problem with. The girl behind the counter brought us down our tea and throw them on the table and the same with our toast , she slammed them onto the table . We were only sitting for 5 -10 mins and our breakfast came out which I found odd as how can all that food be cooked in 5 minutes , on my plate I had 2 old sausages that look like they were dehydrated, my two rashers which couldn’t be eating as you could tell they were reheated in microwave as they were like rubber , my egg .. rock solid , mushrooms don’t even get me started , and the beans , no word of a lie we each got a teaspoon of beans , and we got arse end of a bag of chips cause I got even pick one good chip out of what I had , as we were trying to eat what we had been given we watched one or two orders going out and it was like they were getting food from a different chef altogether, nice fresh chips and looked like fresh bacon !I’ve honestly never had such a bad breakfast from somewhere , if I’m being honest i felt like it was scraps of someone else’s plate , I will never return here , food 0 , service 0 30 euro for reheated microwaved...
Read moreWe had breakfast at Flynn's Bakery a few weeks ago, this was my first time to give it a try. Worst case scenario some GF loaves could be purchased daily across the street from Dunnes Stores and then the bakery could actually provide gluten free toast or sandwiches for customers. It would not be a big deal to have a separate prep area and toaster for this. The breakfast was quite nice though expensive and the lady who served us was friendly and helpful. She did ensure that the non gluten free items such as the sausage and pudding were removed from my breakfast when I requested this. The decor in the room where we ate is tired and the open door into the kitchen or prep area with piles of dirty dishes and bin really wasn't very appealing. Not one to...
Read moreI just wish I took a photo of the fab lunch I had earlier today in Flynn's. It was feast for the eyes as well as the tummy ;) Flynn's NEVER skimp on portion size ....and from our experience they always take the time to delightfully present their food to professional standards! (UNLESS asked otherwise owing to dietary restrictions etc. ;) , which of course, they would happily oblige I'm sure!) I had a simple (tasty) chicken salad wrap which came with a side salad & a decent portion of chips too. We should of really shared the chips between two. My friends & I will be organising a brunch soon because that poached egg/avocado/toast and fresh hollandaise sauce...
