The Brewery Tap — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Tullamore

Me and my partner came visiting from America and stopped in and this pub is the best display of an Irish pub we had in Ireland. For food we got the chicken and smoked bacon pie and the battered fish both of which were very delicious and we also got two desserts which were the crème brûlée and the cheesecake. All the food was well priced and drinks were ice cold.

The food is one aspect but the service in this pub is phenomenal, all of the workers are so patient and friendly towards tourists and made the trip even more enjoyable. In particular there was a young blond waiter who spoke to us all about Ireland and asked about our ancestry, he was so friendly and made us feel so welcome and really enhanced our dinner even more.

The atmosphere is what you can expect. The inside is furnished as a traditional Irish pub with wooden counters and beautiful light fixtures. We sat outside and it was fabulous. There was no noise pollution and it was nice and quiet.

Being in Tullamore to get a booster, we decided to have lunch in the Brewery Tap. I ordered Caulifflower Soup and a Mushroom tToasties while my companion had a Chicken and Smoked Bacon Pie. Our vaccine passes were checked and contact info taken. And staff were very pleasant and attentive to all customers. I was very disappointed in the soup which I make regularly myself. So I know that it is easy to make it delicious. It was piping hot, but almost tasteless. The toastie, on the other hand was delicious. My companion's pie was tasty enough but the filling, which had obviously been cooked separate to the topping. The filling was more like a soup although it was tasty. Best bar in Ireland ! We stopped in a lot of towns all across Ireland. In my opinion this place had it all. Great food. ( fish and chips) great drinks. Home of the tullamore dew tapple dew ! The owner greeted us. Made sure we happy and taken care of. We inquired about wanting to get on the list for the tullamore dew distillery tour for the next day. We had tried and struck out.
