Oriental New Star - Tullamore — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Tullamore

Posted 2 years ago the time changed when i edited the post ..if i could id give this place 0 stars I would . food was not good , when this place first opened it was the spot to go the food was so good the price was good to, over the years ya seen the prices slowly creep up that's ok as long as the food quality and quantity stay the same and they have not , after about 2 years away from eating from the place i decided to give it one more go and see if they have changed.. ohh yes they have changed for the worse it was my second worst Chinese take away i ever had.. the chips weren't fresh they were re-cooked and very hard, i had more veggies than chicken for my meal, and the fried rice was off.. all in all terrible.. I was so disappointed. i will never eat from there again.. unfortunately i didn't take pics as i had giving my dog the chips, i had thrown out the rice and ate the small bits of chicken i had, i really wasn't planning of writing this but if they see this then i hope they will sort themselves out and fix what is...

If I could give it less than one I would. We went last night for my own birthday my mother booked during the week. We arrived at 20 past 7 and by half 8 we still had not received our main course. We had a party of 4. Out of 4 starters ordered 2 were wrong when they came out. The food that was sent out for the main was so below what is acceptable to serve at a restaurant in my opinion. My main was cold as was my mothers. My partners and my fathers rice was stone cold. When brought to the attention of the staff they didn't seem to care and still charged my mother full price even after complaining. Unfortunately in the year since I posted my original review, I've had to revise my stars from 5 to 1. Occasionally as is normal something goes wrong. But on this occasion the chicken dish came in rubberized batter and tasted like it died from starvation in Central Europe in the middle of the last century. The beef dish was wooden but compared well. Definatly avoid the battered dish - we have had the beef come in it and be similarly underwhelming. We are customers or 20 years standing, and we phoned it in immediately but 4 days later have not got the promised callback. Not sure when or if we will buy...
