Would give 3 and a half stars - if some things were better I would give full five stars. Food: We had dinner for four persons. Three were good, mine was okay. Starter was good. The fried fish was soaked with oil and the potatoes marinade were too spicy. Service was friendly and offered another meal for free. Declined and they took my food of the bill got a free drink and also the dessert. We had butter in plastic packaging to the free starters bread. Not very classy. Other food had the missing link between the side- and the main dish - you know that certain something. Overall it was good. Atmosphere: music was a bit too mixed at the beginning, something between classic and pop. Didn't mixed up well but sounded better later. Overall the music didn't fit to the decoration at all. Either you're a sea food restaurant or you're a romantic or hip restaurant. Decoration is good overall - ceiling should get some attention for more decoration like postcards and old images. You know, like in the pubs. Rest rooms were tidy and clean, but not well decorated. I would say they were loveless. Some furniture, images and air refresher would be great. overall experience: The menu has got a wide variety of all over the world. Too bad they're not categorized in countries and in fish, pork, beef and so on. As an foreigner I can't see what's what. Prices were higher than the other restaurants around but are reasonable to the food quality and the friendly and good service. Would come back to give it...
Read moreWe visited as a family of 4 (two teenage children). Unfortunately when we arrived this evening there was a VERY loud party of 6 in the restaurant which wasnât a great start! We ordered our food from a very pleasant and attentive young man. My husbandâs starter along with my own was garlic mushrooms. I found the sauce to taste a little bland and almost âwatered downâ. Our main courses (2 pasta dishes) were extremely salty. So much so that I only ate a few forkfuls and my husband left mussels behind!!âŚ..not at all normal for him! Even my children commented on the chips with their meals being salted quite a bit. My husband was particularly disappointed as we donât tend to eat out as a family that often so it was unfortunate. On a positive note, the staff we encountered couldnât have been nicer and extremely apologetic when we mentioned how salty the food was. Our bill was reduced by the cost of my main course by way of apology. We did leave a tip in the end purely for the young man who served us. I would certainly value him as an employee if I were...
Read moreWas not advised when booking table for 6 people at 6.30 that we would be asked to leave to make way for a table of 7. Had enjoyed a lovely dinner with friendly staff. After desserts and coffee, ordered a round of drinks but before they were served was advised by owner that we would have only 10 minutes to have our drinks. We were ordered to go a few doors down to piazza shop to continue our night there. To add insult to injury we were then served antipasto and garlic piazza, none of which we wanted as we had just finished our dinner. A prudent owner/manager would have given complimentary drinks but it was cheaper to give us food which we stated we did not want. I will not be returning to this restaurant because of the treatment we received, i.e. having to walk with our drinks down the street to the piazza shop and having our special family celebration...
