The food itself was lovely, and the atmosphere was lovely. However, be careful of one senior waitress, she's grumpy and rude and made the experience terrible. As soon as we walked through the door, I kindly asked, “Have you possibly any space for a table of five?” In return, I got a sigh, a dirty look, and “Ugh, I'm busy, give me a minute.”

While handing out the menus, she plopped them on the table as if we were dogs. When handing out desserts, she said, “Manners?” to my family member for not specifying it was her order. After that, she came back speaking loudly to a colleague saying “they left the plates everywhere”…my apologies were we meant to stack them up for her and bring them to the kitchen? At that point I started to question if we were even at a restaurant. She claimed to be the manager, which is very hard to believe because, as a manager, you are meant to uphold the best service to set a good example for the staff.

My family and I kindly tried to express the situation to her, hoping for a simple apology; however, she became aggressive. I’m not one to be loud, yet she told me, “You’d wanna calm down” when I tried to lessen the chaos. This violent, threatening, and hostile attitude should not be tolerated anywhere.

As a family who professionalizes and knows what it's like to work in the hospitality sector, no matter what problems occur, we would never act in this manner toward a customer.

My family and I are all about respecting the elderly; however, this behavior was completely and utterly unacceptable and disgusting. There was another waitress serving us who was so lovely, welcoming, and kind. Maybe the senior waitress should take notes from her or maybe this is her sign for a very prolonged retirement.

Best of luck to the...

We had such a wonderful dinner here yesterday, a very special occasion with overseas guests. The service was warm, friendly, and responsive, and the restaurant was a lovely, comfortable place to relax over a meal. The food was very good, clearly super fresh, quality ingredients. We shared the crab claws as a starter and they were the best we've ever had, so good that even with the generous portion we ordered seconds!! The mains and sides were also very generously sized, the veg beautifully cooked and potatoes decadent with cream and deliciously seasoned. Steak and fish dishes were beautifully cooked with steak perfectly to order. The only note I'd have is that it would be nice to have the option to cook the duck to order as well: while the flavours of the dish were great and the skin/fat perfectly rendered and crisp, the duck was quite overcooked for my taste and I didn't eat much of it. But I know duck is a difficult one...many people dislike any pink and so I can't really fault the restaurant too much for that. I'm sure they know their clientele, but I thought I'd mention it as I would have ordered something else if I'd known. Desserts were well received and I thought the wine was both delicious and quite reasonably priced. We would certainly eat here again, a really lovely spot. We didn't try the prix fix menu but it looked like...

We got 100€ voucher for Cassidy,s restaurant and where so looking forward for our night out. I don't know where to start . We booked for early seating, when we where entering door, staff member was smoking outside, later we found out that it was our waitress, I hope she washed the hands 🙏, our order was taken pretty fast, while we where waiting for our starter that we where sharing, I could hear very loud argument between staff, near the bar, in foreign language, which wasn't pleasant to listen . Going to the food, presentation of filet steak was so old fashioned, sauce all over the plate it didn't look attractive at all , filet steak it self end up as medallions of filet beef, according to our waitress .Potatoes and vegetables where sinking in melted butter , where dry and overcooked, they looked like reheated from night before, so remember this when you go for early seating! I couldn't force myself even to look at the dessert menu , couldn't wait to get out of the door. Check comes to 80 Eur, we just put the rest of the voucher through the shredder, definitely wouldn't...

We were walking around downtown Tralee probably looking a little lost and confused when a local couple asked us if they could be of any assistance. We had been looking for a place to eat but many of them hadn`t opened as of yet, and they encouraged us to look at Cassidy`s, particularly their early bird special. We decided to give it a go and were not disappointed. My wife and I each ordered the Sea Bass which was delicious. It came a side of mixed veggies, an appetizer (I went with the chowder, and my wife had the mushrooms which were both very good), desert (my wife had the cheesecake which was good, and i had the apple blackberry crisp which was excellent) and tea or coffee. If I were to classify this restaurant, I would say its a place to bring your mom. Very elegant, service was attentive with fast, with tasty food all for a pretty good price. The restaurant is a little old, but well maintained, and definitely worth a recommendation.

When we arrived, the place was already packed. They found us a table for two immediately. The weather was unseasonably hot and it was uncomfortable for me inside. After stepping out to cool off, I asked if it was possible to sit at the single table outside on the sidewalk. They were extremely accommodating and immediately moved us outside where we were able to enjoy our meal by candlelight. We had Mussels and Scallops to start and shared the Rack of Lamb as our entree. It was all excellently prepared and presented. This meal was one of the best we had in Ireland. Adding in the friendly and helpful staff, this was, by far, our best dining experience in Ireland.

I heard so many good stories regarding this restaurant I decided to go here with my friends for our evening meal. I was highly disappointed as for three of us we were put into a very small corner with an equally small table The food was disappointing and was such a tiny portion I couldn't belive my eyes, for such a very high price point I would expect a substantial meal and I didn't get that. My alcoholic drink was served in a very hot glass with Ice and I couldn't drink it as it tasted warm. We had no room on the table for glasses etc, it was a let down to be honest and I expected so much more. Staff were nice but it wasn't enough in My opinion
