Avoid this place - especially with food related allergies
I for one am not a person to review, or critic food, but this place deserves taking the time to write this.
Myself and my partner ordered a takeaway, she arrived before the allocated collection time. From the second we received the bag of food it was a bad experience. We opened the bag and were severely disappointed. The food was overpriced, small portions and was at best, slightly warm. I got a sweet and sour chicken, the sauce and vegetables were cold and the chicken was barely above room temperature. The chicken was tough and almost inedible. The second dish was chicken balls (10 piece portion) and a curry sauce. The chicken balls were small and oily to bite into. The curry sauce tasted identical to Mc Donnell curry sauce mix. The third dish was the “ying& yang”, my partner said that this was only average, and again similar to the sweet and sour, the vegetables and sauce were cold the chicken / duck were barely above room temperature and the food was just overall bland.
If you do decide to order from here, there’s no point paying the extra money for egg fried rice, within my portion of “egg” fried rice, was one minuscule piece of egg, so small you could hardly notice it! And the rice wasn’t even fried, just boiled.
If things weren’t disappointing already, on my order I specified about a peanut allergy. Luckily this is not severe. There was some cross-contamination between one of the dishes. I phone up the restaurant to one of the works who was very nice and took my details and told me to expect a phone call back. After a very short few minutes my phone ran to another lady who informed me that “they tried their best” and that “these things happen”. Apparently fresh oil was used for our meal, but judging by the look and taste of the food this definitely was not the case. I will never again go here and would highly recommend anyone with allergies to stay clear of this...
Read moreMyself and my partner had a last minute decision to dine out last night and we decided for the first time since they have been open the dine out in the Tamarind, and to say we were happy would be a slight understatement 😀
We were greeted with such a friendly service and atmosphere, the staff are so friendly and attentive, down to Chef who came to our table and others who were dining in and greeted us and asked if everything was OK and had a friendly converstation, whilst filing our waters and looking after us, aswell as the lovely waitress who was attending us. 5⭐️ service
The food was beautiful, we had a mixed platter for starters, I would highly recommend the ribs, they were done to protection 👌the meat just fell right off the bone. For the main we had Crispy shredded chicken with satay sauce & egg fried rice, and pork belly with egg fried rice with chips all were Fab.
When leaving we were having a brief chat with the chef about family etc. and she disappeared for a brief moment and came back with a bag of lolly pops and prawn crackers for my kids for when we got home, as they weren't even with us at the time.
She is so thoughtful and deserves aswel with her staff, a 5⭐️ review as a way of saying thanks for your service and we will...
Read moreGreat takeaway and restaurant. I cannot compliment them higher. When you get take away, the service is amazing and even better in the restaurant. Friendly and so efficient. The chef even came out to thank me when we visited. The food is high quality I would especially recommend the Guinness ribs as a starter, duck wraps and any of the curries depending on your taste for heat and spices. Extensive menus can worry me with quality of ingredients but this restaurant and take away is an exception. Fresh meat and vegetable is definitely what you will get here and the tastiest of sauces. Menu explains all ingredients which I also like. I would recommend this place so highly. I would be very surprised if you were disappointed if Thai...
