The Green Dot — Restaurant in West Cork

This café is an absolute gem. Tucked away behind a charming gift shop, it offers amazing food, wonderful hospitality, and a really beautiful atmosphere. The service is incredibly friendly, I spent an hour waiting for my daughter, holding on to one coffee until we then had breakfast, with an amazing variation on the traditional Irish breakfast with black pudding. And then we simply stuck around, later moved to have an amazing lemon and raspberry cake. This is the best possible place to just have breakfast, read a newspaper, go with your kids, meet a friend, or just chill out with a book and some amazing food. Easily one of the best places in Clonakilty. I can only recommend it...

Since moving to Clonakilty the green dot has been such a staple- my son and I stopped here for many breakfasts, lunches, and coffees over the summer and I always felt confident that both of us were getting something healthy (as well as a sweet treat, he loves the cookies).

Niamh is such a standout employee, my son can be shy with strangers so it made a huge difference to me that she has been patient and kind to him (and to me!)
