We were kicked out of the restaurant because we wanted to change seats.
We booked a table in advance. we were seated in the center of the hall, at our request to move to the window, waiter told that the tables near the window for 5 people, and we are 4. Despite this, I saw 3 tables with just 2 guests. We moved to a table near the window, the waiter said that he would clarify whether he was booked. (I didn’t find the opportunity to choose a specific table when booking, on the website). Meanwhile, a man came running, who identified himself as the owner of the restaurant and in a rude manner said that we either return to our table, or we must leave the restaurant. When my dad asked why we couldn't sit there, he started to kick us out, and then push my dad out with his stomach and shoulders. Unfortunately, we didn’t make a video.
So if you want to visit this restaurant, be prepared for the fact that you will have to sit where you are directed, even if there are free seats. And also, do not ask unnecessary questions, as the owner of the restaurant may not like it and he will push (in the literal sense of the word) you...
Read moreThis place is a gem for people who are looking for home style Italian food with an Arab twist in the Haifa area. Apparently the chef was a contestant in the Israeli tv food show MasterChef and did really well. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building on the beach on the south side of Haifa. The atmosphere and service are warm and friendly. We have been to the restaurant four times over the past six months and we like to go at sunset and watch the sun slowly disappear over the horizon into the Mediterranean. Tonight, there were two of us and we ordered the beef carpaccio, mushroom risotto, tomato and mozzarella salad, margherita pizza and house red wine. We love the dough in the bread, focaccia and pizza. It's made in an Italian style reminds us more of Sicily than the typical Israeli pizza. The tomato salad uses a host of red, green and yellow tomatoes in all shapes and sizes and is drizzled with balsamic and olive oil and topped with mozzarella. It's our "go-to" salad here. We've never had a bad dish here. We gave the restaurant five stars because it's great...
Read moreAlmost empty restaurant, counted at least 8 waiters, just passing by. I had to stop one each time I needed something otherwise totally ignored. The order was prepared quickly almost as if it was mostly premade. The food is bland, boring and overpriced. The presentation quite poor. So if you have low standards and like chaising waiters around I strongly recommend this insult to Italian Cuisine. It's my second visit, the first time was just as bad. I gave it another chance because my son wanted pizza and it was the closest. And one more funny thing that happened. After we got the bill the waiter gave me a card with a qr code and said there is a competition between the waiters and asked me to rate him. I scanned the code and it was google rating. I called him back to say that it is just Google rating and not what he was saying... He smiled and asked me to add a comment with his name... Lucky for him I quickly forgot his name... I almost never give bad reviews even if I have a bad experience. But this time after so strongly encouraged and basically tricked in to rating I feel...
