This was my first time visiting after being told by many to visit. Upon arrival the restaurant was very clean and welcoming. We sat for our meal and no dishes were recommended or suggested. My table assisted me in navigating the menu more than the staff. We waited over 30 minutes for our food with no acknowledgment or explanation. When our food arrived the mashed potatoes were cold. One can assume it sat under the heating light too long. May I mention there were many staff members around. At this time management stopped by with minimal apologies but took the potatoes and unfortunately instead of replacing for fresh just zapped it in the microwave which dried them out. My friend still ate them but mine were 1000 x better. When I got half way through my pork chop (which was my fault for ordering) was way rare. I requested to speak to someone and a different manager came who looked at the meat and proceeded to remove my plate which I hadn’t finished eating the other items on my plate. She asked to make me another dish and I said no as I was half way through. But I would have completed the side on my plate had it been left. There was also a lengthy delay in ordering wine which unfortunately only happened twice but had the staff been more attentive could have been more than two rounds. At this point no one stopped by again to acknowledge their final fail. They did remove the pork chop from the bill. We had been recommended to visit here and with only 10 days of visiting the options for food are severely important. Time to retrain staff if they have hopes to get back to the level of service we heard they were. I will not be standing in line to eat here on my next visit unless there is considerable changes to...
Read moreTL;DR Good diverse food and good service
Located in the Herzelia pituah area and has offered good food for many years now
I used to eat lunch there when I worked in the area but haven't been there for many years now. I was happy to learn that unlike many restaurants it managed to keep its high quality.
The place has a huge space inside and a smaller outdoor sitting area, it is always full so we only managed to get a table for 4 outside but the weather was nice and smoking is forbidden there so it was nice.
It took some time to get our reserved table and had to wait for about 10 minutes, but that is more or less the regular delay time so prepare yourself.
Once you get sited the service is really good we got the menus right away and we didn't have to wait for waitress at any time, they were always there.
We ordered: Chicken Liver Terrine that was good came with nice Amberjack sashimi small dish but excellent Salmon fettuccine that was nice Gnocchi in tomato butter that was really good Beef fillet that was good Meat tortellini that was nice
We also got a bread basket with dips and a plate of olives on the house. They were nice
The food was good and so was the company. waitress came to check on us from time to time just at the right amount, not to nag and be available
For dessert we took 2 chocolate mouess with toffee cream that were good.
Drinks: Beer and spicy caribbean that was good
Overall we had a great time and good for ~200 nis a person, which is OK in today's prices.
Parking: There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant but it's almost always full, there is some parking on the street but ~50 meters from there there is a large parking lot...
Read moreNot my first time here, and definitely not my last. The restaurant is here a long time and if they stay like this, they will be here for longer. I ordered the tartar special which was very good. The horseradish cream next to it was great. Also had the shrimp bruschetta. Mediterranean flavors with perfectly cooked shrimp. I couldn't say no to the grilled artichoke that was on the specials, and it is a good thing that I didn't. The artichoke had a great grilled flavour and the cheese next to it was a perfect match. I had to try the beets with the ricotta cheese. The beets were sweet, naturally sweet, and had a beet puree on the bottom. It was a good dish even though beets are not my favorite, so if you love beets you'll probably enjoy it. Than I had the arancini. Good filling and great sauce. It felt like they waited a few minutes too much before arriving at my table, and got a little dry, but they were still very good. To finish the appetizers I had the meagre ceviche. Topped with pomegranate seeds it was perfect. For entrees I had the classic veal schnitzel with mashed potatoes. Classic dish made perfect every time. And I also had the meagre fillet with fennel confit. Made to perfection. Tender fish and tender fennel in a tangy sauce. The service was amazing and the cocktails were fresh and interesting. It's not a cheap restaurant, but you definitely get your money worth. Just don't forget to reserve a place because the place is...
