We and our local family members have been here MANY times over the last few years. I will never go back after our terrible experience this evening. (Let me preface by stressing that the waiters and waitresses were superb, professional, friendly and helpful.)But, two steak meals arrived RAW in the middle. One was ordered medium and the other was ordered medium WELL. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A STEAK RESTAURANT, thus the name “Meat Bar”. Don’t be fooled by the name. After complaining, two different managers basically made us feel like we did something wrong. One even accused my wife of returning her uncooked meat with out the goose liver topping that it supposedly came with. When they brought it back out the second time, after cooking it more, it not only came back a SECOND time still raw in the middle, but was missing the goose liver topping. By the time my wife and daughter received their “cooked” meals ON THE THIRD TRY, the other seven people at our table had already finished their meals. Neither of the two managers on duty saw fit to offer any type of compensation whatsoever. All they could manage to repeat to us several times was “if you eat the food you have to pay for it”. This is how a supposedly top notch steak restaurant that charges top prices, in a neighborhood with a Bentley dealership no less, sees fit to treat a dissatisfied customer. Already on the phone, the girl who took the reservation was negligent and unprofessional. When we entered the restoration the hosts was playing with her smartphone, we waited for few minutes, then called for her attention. The place was half empty , she took us to a table , didn't ask whether we liked it and left. I asked to move to the quite corner. After the waitress took the order, on the nearest table they invited family with a little child and didn't asked if it's OK to put a baby chair next to our table like 20 cm. The main course was very good, we've ordered steak filet . It took reasonable time to cook it, like 20 min. But the waitress confused between our orders, gave me well done and my friend medium. When I told her, not only she didn't apologize, but she also said that I'm confusing and that I should cut my steak in the middle. Needless to say how rude and unprofessional it is. Before the dishes arrived at the restaurant they put an air conditioner on a very low temperature and I had to ask three times to stop the freezing. In the meantime the family with the baby was very loud and even pushing, it did not contribute to the pleasant or quiet atmosphere we expected during the meal. The price for two main dishes 344 NIS. I recently celebrated my birthday at the Meat Bar restaurant, and unfortunately, it was not the enjoyable experience I had hoped for. From the moment we arrived, there were several issues that left a sour taste in my mouth.
Firstly, despite having made a reservation for two people, the table we were seated at was incredibly small and the overall space felt cramped. This immediately affected our comfort and enjoyment during the meal.
To make matters worse, midway through our dinner, one of the plates on our table accidentally fell on the floor and shattered into pieces. While accidents happen, what disappointed me most was the lack of attention from the staff. Even though the waitress checked on the neighboring table to see if they were okay, she completely neglected to address the incident at our table or inquire about our well-being.
This lack of responsiveness and concern displayed by the staff was disheartening, especially considering it was meant to be a special occasion. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and attentiveness, particularly when faced with an unfortunate incident.
Overall, I left the Meat Bar restaurant feeling disappointed and let down. The combination of uncomfortable seating arrangements, an accident that went unnoticed, and a general lack of acknowledgment left a lasting negative impression on what should have been a joyous celebration.
I sincerely hope that the management of Meat Bar takes this feedback constructively, as it presents an opportunity for them to improve their services and ensure that future customers have a more pleasant...
