Italia Steak House — Restaurant in Abano Terme

The worst restaurant in Abano Terme, that's probably why it was empty, three tables were occupied all night. Anyone who writes a positive review about this restaurant is LIING. The dish looks nice in the pictures but it's inedible. We ordered Picanha, we got meat that was inedible, tough, full of veins, and most importantly, totally tasteless, they put some spices in it, trying to give it at least a little flavor, but without success. The food was disastrous, but the restaurant staff was even worse. No one speaks a word of any other language except Italian, I understand that, but to have them start shouting at you because you don't understand them, that's terrible. And finally, the biggest surprise. Since you don't know Italian (google translate doesn't help, I tried) you order a specialty and when you pay they charge you 30-40% more meat because you're buying a piece of meat that you haven't seen and that no one told you how heavy it is, but since no one speaks a foreign language, they can calculate it for you as they please. Zero stars is a lot for this restaurant

I still have to write a response to the owner. You can lie on me as much as you want, whoever ordered a dish that is sold by the kilo, most of the reviews of your restaurant are the same as mine. You are obliged to tell people when ordering such dishes or show them if it is packaged and already weighed, how much it weighs. No normal person would order for two people! 1.5 kg of meat, but it is not worth it for you, you rather violate EU law and cheat people when it...

After trying to a make reservating by phone earlier the evening (call was not answerred), we tried our luck by walking over 1 kilometer from our hotel. When we arrived at 20.45 hr and asked for a table for two, the only responses from the waItress was NO and the man behind the bar making a cross with his arms. So, this against the fact that there was a free table and the place first closing at 22.30 hr., this was very disappointing...correction; frustrating.

When we could have a short dialogue, we could explain we would only order a maincourse. And if we then were kindly rejected with any short reason, we would accept and have understanding. But not this in way...so our opinion this was a total failure in hospitality and they've lost us as a potential regular customer during our stay in...

We decided to have dinner in this Steak House because it was close to our hotel and it was the only that we were able to find open in Abano during this Low Season. It’s a kinda “Mom and Pop” restaurant: The owners were friendly, professional and seemed happy with their jobs. We heeded their suggestion and opted for the Picanha served on a sizzling stone tray. It was amazingly tender, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Savory side dishes and the “house wine”, we chose, were also good. Honest and affordable prices. All in all, it was a hearty and satisfying mid-week dinner that we feel to recommend...
