We stayed at La Rotta Rooms for one night.
The service is very poor - unfriendly and sarcastic manager.
First impression was not so friendly and this is only due to the most unfriendly management of the residence that we have met during our trip. There was 0 instruction how to find the Room facility (as other apartments in Sicily offer it).
We were met with the confusion and 15 minutes time for figuring out when we can enter the room. Later, the manager lady showed us a room, explained how everything works, though it was done in the way to show that we were not intelligent enough to understand how the light works.
After one night, we asked if we can stay longer (Booking.com showed there’s availability), but the lady manager said they did not have rooms for us.
Later, when I asked if we can buy breakfast (because the reservation does not include anything apart from 2 bottles of water) we were told that they could only offer us coffee and 1 bun.
Facility was super clean and nice looking, however, AC was not functioning properly. There’s only 1 system with the AC that can be adjusted for all rooms in the block that this facility has. Therefore, we had problems sleeping with either too cold room, or no air at all.
What was unpleasantly surprising is that we figured out from others reviews that facility charges for taking a bath/jacuzzi... Even though, there was a detailed instruction about the lights, there was no mention that the bathtub is charged extra.
The shower was not properly functioning, there was a problem with the pressure changes and temperature. The AC was the biggest problem at night (constantly on and cold), we even noticed that it was dripping…
Overall, we have a very mixed and unsatisfied impression. Despite this, apart from the manager/owner, the rest of the staff was friendly.
After checking out, we were not treated liked...
Read moreI absolutely do not recommend this place. It looks nice, but that's all. I arrived at the hotel after a long day of traveling and discovered I hadn't been given a room with a sea view (as described on booking), but with a view of other buildings. I undressed and ran the water into the bathtub – the drain was broken and water was leaking. I called the hotel staff – no one answered. I also went down to the hotel restaurant, but no one spoke English! Shocking! After a while, they transferred me to a phone person, to whom I explained all the problems. Someone went upstairs with me and checked the bathtub drain – he couldn't fix it, so I was given another room (smaller and cheaper) but with a sea view. The bathtub drain worked, but only for a short time, so I ended up not taking a bath. I wasted an hour and a half on this. I wasn't even offered dinner as an apology. I went to the restaurant as soon as I arrived, but no one showed interest after waiting at a table for 10 minutes, so I went to the restaurant next door. The next day, I asked what compensation they were offering for all these problems, and they said none. I run a glamping site myself and have guests. Sometimes things happen that are beyond my control, and that's normal. In such cases, you should apologize and offer something. Unfortunately, nothing! In summary: a room with no sea view, two broken bathtubs, no phone calls, no English-speaking communication, and utter rudeness! Definitely...

[…]
Impiattamento gourmet; porzioni piene con condimenti copiosi; sapori delicati, saporiti, freschi; cottura perfetta. […]
Chi altri sta in sala lancia sguardi attenti a tutti i tavoli: ogni richiesta è prontamente accolta, sorridentemente soddisfatta, chiedendo sempre cos'altro possa servire.
