Had a terrible experience at Capogiro restaurant. Apart from the ambience (we first sat outside for the sunset but had to move indoors as it started to get cold and windy at the terrace), everything else went downhill after the first dish. There were only 6 filled tables (including ours) at the restaurant and it took 4 hours to get through the whole dinner. The service staff were friendly but the food wasnt exceptional given its high price tag. We had the Sartoriale tasting menu priced at EUR140. The food took really long to be served and when it finally came, it was either undercooked, cold or tasted very normal. At one point, after we sent back the fusillone dish for being undercooked, the waitress/manager said it is home made pasta so it was supposed to be like that. We insisted to send it back as it was totally hard and very chewy anyways after which she confirmed it was undercooked and allowed us to replace it with another dish. A male staff then came to us for feedback nearing the end of the dinner and when we told him about the pasta, he said it is supposed to be "al dente" like we were idiots. We obviously know wtf is al dente so dont teach me how to eat my food. The suckling pig also tasted normal and cold. Overall, if you are in for terrible food, crappy service with a high price tag but a nice ambience, Capogiro is the...
Read moreWe had dinner here on August 28 for my boyfriends birthday and it was absolutely incredible. We got welcomed when we parked our car and were brought to the restaurant in a caddy. The waiters were very friendly and the sommelier gave us an excellent recommendation for wine pairing (the Faula). From amuse to dessert each dish was executed flawlessly. Bonus: all ingredients were locally sourced. If I would have to make one remark, it would be that the table was sometimes quite full with bread and breadsticks - I would suggest to offer a tiny piece of bread with each dish to maintain the full focus on the course. Would...
Read moreBeautiful restaurant, amazing sunset, great views, top notch service, delicious dinner, and quite an experience overall. My wife and I came here for our last dinner in Sardinia before leaving back home. If you're a foodie or enjoy exploring new flavors, textures, and experiences with your food, this is a must visit location. Dress nicely, not because it's explicitly required but it's such a nice place that you will feel out of place in shorts and a T-shirt. Also it's best to phone ahead and make a reservation, we got lucky our visit was...
