My best word for Hotel Le Clarisse is WOW. If your trip to Calabria takes you anywhere near Amantea, you must stay at this hotel. ||||Amantea is a very nice, multidimensional town and should be incorporated to any trip to Calabria. Amantea is very good. Hotel Le Clarisse is MAGNIFICENT.||||The restoration of the facility is absolutely brilliant. I found myself constantly exploring and seeing additional details with each pass through. I was constantly talking to myself, using words like---- magnificent, splendid, and exquisite. These are not words I use very often, but they were gushing out regularly.||||There are expansive walls filled with prints of many of the world’s classic paintings. The quality of the prints is excellent. And, to my eye, each is perfectly displayed.|| ||My attention was then drawn to intrigue chandeliers and sconces, massive wooden doors, beautiful windows that fill the rooms with light, French doors leading to multiple balconies, topped off with a grand staircase. And, there is so much more. And, it all works together perfectly.||||I am going to curtail my babbling. But, I do have to mention that my room was huge. The furnishings were perfect. While it had all of the modern conveniences that a traveler could want, the room emanated old world charm.||||Breakfast was exceptional. The hotel’s restaurant is renowned in the area. I stayed for three nights and ate at the hotel restaurant all three nights. The restaurant’s reputation is well deserved.||||As one would imagine, the hotel employees were at the same lofty level as the facility.|| ||My final comment is---- I received far, far more value than the price they charged.||||DO NOT MISS...

Read moreLe Clarisse, a splendid restaurant and hotel, was the chosen venue for my mother's birthday celebration last Saturday. We had an absolutely delightful experience. The staff were extremely kind and attentive! The establishment boasts a magnificent view of the sea, paired with breathtaking sunsets, making for an enchanting dining ambiance. The menu, which is further enhanced with daily specials based on the catch of the day, guarantees the freshest of fare. We indulged in a full-course dinner - appetizer, first course, main course, and dessert - each dish more delightful than the last. The “ricciola”(amberjack) was exceptional, the “calamarata” with red shrimp and sea urchins was a taste sensation, and the mille-feuille was simply divine. Amidst an evening filled with beautiful people and beautiful moments, Le Clarisse proved to be a precious gem in the heart of Amantea. A visit is highly...
