One of my top 3 gelaterias in the region. Sicoli delivers excellent gelato with consistently high quality. The price point is a bit above average, but the rich flavors and creamy texture justify it. A historic spot that’s well worth a visit if you're in Amantea.

Bar Sicoli is located in Amantea, on the western side of Calabria region. The position is very interesting, because the bar is located within the historic center of the town, close to the main church . The bar is really small but, during the summer, there are many tables outside. The menu of the bar is absolutely his strongest quality. Capitati ad Amantea, non potevamo non fermarci da Sicoli, una vera istituzione dal 1937. La fama che precede questa gelateria è assolutamente meritata: qui si respira tradizione, qualità e passione per l’arte dolciaria.

Il gelato è cremoso, autentico e con gusti che raccontano davvero la Calabria: dal pistacchio, vellutato e intenso, alle creme particolari come quella al bocconotto di Amantea, ricca di sfumature (cioccolato, mandorle, cannella e chiodi di garofano). Anche i gusti alla frutta sono freschissimi e naturali. Ogni assaggio trasmette genuinità e ingredienti di qualità superiore.

Abbiamo apprezzato anche la varietà dei prodotti: oltre al gelato, ci sono praline, tavolette di cioccolato e creme spalmabili ispirate ai dolci tradizionali locali. Una fusione perfetta tra innovazione e tradizione.

La location è suggestiva, proprio sul corso principale di Amantea: sedersi qui con un cono o una coppetta significa immergersi nell’atmosfera della città. Nonostante la grande affluenza (segno del successo), il personale è sempre cortese, disponibile e veloce.

I prezzi sono assolutamente onesti, soprattutto se si considera la qualità e la ricercatezza delle preparazioni. Aperto praticamente a tutte le ore, è una tappa irrinunciabile sia per chi vive ad Amantea sia per chi la visita.
