Tipiko Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Amantea

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel we were staying at. Booked last-minute and that's probably why they seated us right next to the kitchen. It was incredibly hot and I asked if we could be seated outside but the waiter refused. The staff didn't seem to care whether we stayed or left, which we promptly did. I understand Italian and heard part of an exchange between the waiter and the maître d' where the waiter said that 'madam is leaving because she didn't like anything' and added an eye roll and snort....

Late review: I've dined in this quaint and serene place on an afternoon/evening of November, 2022. The sunset view from the outdoor seating area of this place is marvelous. Food was great. Ho portato a cena qui famiglia ed amici sotto consiglio di una mia amica del posto. Appena arrivati siamo rimasti affascinati dalla piacevolissima vista dal giardino di tutto il centro urbano di Amantea. Servizio in sala ottimo e piatti serviti in circa 5/10 minuti dall'ordinazione.

Unica pecca sul servizio la discussione per la prenotazione: Chiamato il numero riportato su Google alle 18:00 (Sabato di agosto), chi era dall'altra parte, alla richiesta di un tavolo per 11 persone alle 20:30 risponde testualmente "Seeee, dovevate chiamare prima". Tralasciando la risposta (pessima), che poteva essere data in mille modi più delicati, siamo stati richiamati dopo 3 minuti, da un altro numero, per sentirci dire che il tavolo volendo era disponibile e che saremmo dovuti essere tutti presenti all'orario concordato (richiesta legittima).
