It took an hour to serve carpaccio, a cold dish . To add insult to injury every other table was served before ours. Later when we complained about the time, service ( a waitress we saw once), when the food arrived almost 1 hour and a half later it was cold and revolting. The meat tasted like leather shoes and you could taste the fish was cooked in old oil that had been reused multiple times. The gnocchi was congealed and they used cheap Oscar Mayer synthetic bacon. Then when we gave our honest opinion we were told its because we are tourist and our taste. The manager then complained in front of other customers saying touristi… by the way I lived in Oristano over 10 years ago when they would be happy to find one tourist… I know that with that horrible flavor any Oristanese would never touch it! There was little to no apology or accountability. Paid 90 euros and had to go to Craf for a second dinner to not go to bed hungry. Craf treated us amazingly, fresh hot food, fast and delicious. True Sardo dishes great atmosphere. Save your time… go elsewhere....
Read moreEnjoyed our evening at Kalispera. It was a lovely warm evening and we hadn't booked so felt lucky to have a table. Our starter plate of cold meats and cheeses was delcious. We went straight to main which wss nice but we got the impression we had been forgotten til the lovely waiter (French speaker) realised. My husband had tuna with parmesan but found there ti be too much cheese thus losing taste of tuna. My steak in gorgonzola sauce was devine. We have not quite sussed out ordering in Sardina yet......we now lnlw wef must order sides...
