When we were planning to go to Sardinia, everyone warned us not to have high expectations when it comes to food. Many also said that although Italy is famous for Neapolitan pizza, we shouldn't expect it in Sardinia. Quite by chance (and with a little help from an AI tool) we found this place in the city where we were staying. They opened at 7:00 p.m. and so there were only about two tables there with some people. Their pizza was incredible! It's a demonstration of how gastronomy can be made with love. We had Buffalina and Stracciatella pizzas. It was an excellent choice. We also had draft beer (the quality of beer is low, but unfortunately beer in Sardinia is so different from beer at home) and a glass of wine. My girlfriend liked the wine. At the end, we also had dessert - Tiramisù, which was amazing. The staff who served us was very professional and when we paid, the person who was preparing the pizza talk with us a few words (we thought he was the owner, but maybe he wasn't). The only negative to this place was that two days later we wanted to come back and have dinner, but the place was completely full and the staff told us that if we didn't have a reservation, unfortunately they wouldn't seat us. Of course, it was our fault, since we arrived late in the evening, so we recommend making a reservation in advance.

Santa Marghe Pizzeria brings a slice of Naples to Sardinia, right down to the Maradona photos on the wall. We had two pizzas – one with mozzarella, the other with stracciatella and aubergine – both arrived impressively fast and tasted genuinely great. Fluffy, charred crusts and rich toppings gave that proper Neapolitan feel. The winter garden seating was a cozy touch, and service was kind and relaxed. Prices are fair, making this spot an easy choice for a laid-back and delicious meal. Quietly rated: worth stopping for real-deal pizza in a local setting.
