We stumbled upon Sancarlino on a scroll through Arona and were lucky enough to grab a table for two despite not having a reservation. The food was excellent, the wines by the glass also great. The service was typically Italian where they leave you alone until you want something. I love that, so different to the US where you get asked every two minutes whether you're happy, but really they want you want out asap, so they can seat the next party. The place was full of Italians which is always a good sign for a local place. We didn't even get charged for coffee and Sambucas!
