Ristorante "La Terrazza" — Restaurant in Asolo

Food was average. We were told there was an extra for having dinner in the cave but there was no mention that the actual “extra” was 50 euros per head… so it turned out the so called cave cost more than the dinner itself and the restaurant made no effort to fix their mistake. They will make every possible effort to tell you about the history of this cave… as if Jesus had his ultima cena there (while in fact there was nothing special)… in short, by all means avoid, there are much better...

Locale dominante sulla stupenda piazza di Asolo. Da qui la vista sul centro storico è unica ed il ristorante si presenta elegante e raffinato degno del luogo che rappresenta. Questa attività è inserita all’interno dell’hotel al Sole (un 5*) ma è di fatto un ristorante a se stante. Visto il contesto avrei delle note da rilevare che espongo a modo di consiglio. Visto il luogo ed il contesto ci si aspetterebbe, come si suol dire, il top. Il cibo è buono ma la raffinatezza ricercata a volte scade nella mancanza di gusti . Così nel mio caso posso riportare un antipasto ed un baccalà poco gustosi che andrebbero rivisti magari con una combinazione di sapori più forti e decisi. Molto buono l’antipasto di pesce. Il locale invece obbliga a prendere almeno due piatti, questa cosa non la reputo corretta. Se uno vuole prendere un piatto è un buon vino non vedo perché non lo possa fare considerando anche il coperto che viene 5 euro. Prezzo medio alto ma ovviamente si paga la location . Dunque bene nel complesso ma non benissimo. Questo ristorante meriterebbe una spinta più decisa nei gusti. Non da voto massimo ma...

Superb restaurant with a magnificent view over Asolo. The food is always simple but absolutely thought through, the wine list is outstanding and the service is seriously one of the best I've ever experienced: attention to details, professional, quick and yet warm and friendly.

A must go when...
