Trattoria da Dario is the real deal. An authentic local trattoria serving up delicious regional specialities from Sicily. The staff and service is incredibly warm and the restaurant itself is super charming - a friendly environment with quaint but beautiful decor. With the man himself - Dario - moving around the restaurant floor giving his recommendations and making sure his customers feel at home. It almost feels like you are dining in someone's really large living room. The dishes were pretty amazing too - moderately prices and extremely generous portions. I had the eggplant involtini was was nothing short of spectacular. Tasted just like my grandma's! I also had the massive plate of Busiate di Dario featuring one of my favorite ingredients of Silician cuisine- pistacchio. Super favorful. Worth nothing is the portions are HUGE so as a solo diner, I unfortunately wasn't able to finish my delicious plates - nor could I sample the million other things I wanted to from the menu. But next time I will be sure to come with some friends so we can share and eat family-style! Other things worth noting are the homemade wines and amaro (also available for purchase!), the loyal clientele, a beautiful outdoor terrace and the most delectable dolce. This Italian restaurant gives an incredible atmosphere of an Italian restaurant. The dishes contain a lot of seafood. We chose to eat the seafood Risotto which was amazing! In terms the interior of the restaurant had a pleasant vibe. The waiter was extremely welcoming asking us where we are from and introducing us to the Sicilian traditional dessert Cannoli which was also very delicious. The Italians were so welcoming they offered a free drink called Limoncello, in my opinion a generous offer by the restaurant. At the end the waiter asked us to take a picture with him as he collects pictures of people from all over the world that ate at the Trattoria da Dario restaurant and puts the pictures on a big world map that is placed in the restaurant.
