We decided to spend our time in Sardinia driving up the east coast and stopping along the way. One night we stayed at Domas de Janas Beach Resort where reside the IL Pesciolino Restaurant. As the sun set and the outdoor lights came on the restaurant was beautiful and we wanted to eat close to where we stayed. Our first course was fried Sardinia Cheese with assorted meats and cheese plate; both were excellent, especiallyqrinqted vegetables accompanying the n'est and chez plate. Our son loved the idea of French fries on his cheese pizza. I enjoyed a bowl of mussels, clams and langostinos in red sauce called Doumas Soup. My husband had a whole baby Sea Bass with tomatoes clams and bacon - all the flavors of the food was excellent. Read morePerfect service, very friendly and polite. They also can cummunicate in english and take effort to understand even if you don't speak one word italian. We tried a few words and phrases in italian and probably made lots of mistakes, but they took it with humor and helped us to pronounciate it right. The food was so delicious, that we came back a second time although we wanted to dine in another Restaurant every evening. They use very high quality products and know not only to prepare specials, but also the basic meals. Read morei had the fritto misto and a pizza boscaiola. service is polite and pretty quick, food came fast. 10 min. for the starter. but why in gods name would you frie the frito misto to death? yes you can overcook fried food.. it was just dry. not horrible but dry and very dead, for me it seemed as the seafood was gonna be bad soon so give an extra round in the fritter. the pizza was very basic. it was ok, not to much oil, dough was almost standing when hold up, taste was ok. but i had better pizza in switzerland. when im in italy i expect a bit more. but nice ambiente, bit stiff but ok. all in all an ok place to eat, i think you wont be disapointed by the food, so...
