Worst restaurant experience of my life – tourists: stay away!

I honestly don’t understand how this place has received 5-star reviews – they must be from locals who know the owner, because nothing about our visit came close to deserving even one star.

The food was terrible: we were served a steak that was severely undercooked, and a “salad with salsiccia” that was nothing more than limp lettuce and unripe tomatoes – incredibly boring and uninspired.

The service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. We were greeted by a woman with a serious attitude who looked like she hated being there. It took forever just to place our order. Then, after ordering, a waiter came over and gave us menus again – clearly confused and disorganized. Fifteen minutes later, we were told they didn’t have the wine we had ordered, and instead of suggesting an alternative, we had to ask ourselves. What they suggested tasted awful and was clearly much cheaper – yet they still put the original, more expensive bottle on the bill.

They forgot the bottle of water we ordered, and didn’t bring any glasses for it either. We had to wave and gesture to even get that resolved – they didn’t understand a word of English. The food arrived quickly, which makes sense, since it was so poorly cooked and just lazy in presentation.

No one checked on us during the meal. One waiter looked completely lost, another walked around with an attitude, and a third spent most of the night standing by a table chatting and laughing with what looked like local friends.

To top it all off – the bill was wrong by €20. Luckily, we checked, since everything else had been so careless. And sure enough, there were charges for things we never received.

I’ve eaten at restaurants all over the world – some great, some not – and I’ve never left a negative review before. But this experience pushed me over the edge.

Tourists: avoid this place at all costs. There are much better restaurants elsewhere.

Answer to the owner: If you read my recommendation, it was not only the meat that was bad. Everything was horrible, and the service was the worst. I see why the restaurant is so bad, with that attitude you have. We said it to the waiter as i write, but he didnt understand and he just said okay and laughed....

Great location, promising food, unfortunately service felt inexperienced which had an impact on our dinner. Beside a few minor issues (forgotten items, slow service without information, slightly too fast removal of plates) we were unlucky by continuously defending our plates and our kid against 3-4 wasps - it did not look as a one-off occasion, I think the place should find some solution for that as it really decreases the dining experience. The beach front location and the view is fantastic, as well as the food - if you do not eat it fast and shared...

The area is lovely, very nice views and relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately I ate something that made me sick, I don’t think it was the pasta though, it tasted beautiful and it was one of the best pastas I’ve ever had in my life. We had a mix of starters and I think the ostrich was what made me feel sick that night. Besides that... it is a good place, good quality and price...
