Al Bersagliere — Restaurant in Bardolino

Arrived to this restaurant having booked earlier in the day and no waiter/waitresses to greet us. We sat ourselves down. Having then waited 5-10 minutes and seen other groups arrive and get menus, we asked for some menus please to be met with a very rude waiter who basically said we needed to sit down and wait quietly. He then made a scene in front of all the tables and said “what? Do you have a train to catch in 5 minutes? Can’t you wait?”. RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL! He then came over with two menus for our table of four and waved a menu aggressively in my girlfriend’s face and wouldn’t give it to her. Rude behaviour. We decided to leave because we felt so uncomfortable, and as we left, he shouted “bye” at us. Their loss on a table of 4 who were willing to spend all night there and spend some money. My wife and I went there last night. A male waiter sat us down with the menus and took our order. That was the last time we saw him during our dinner. He never asked how is your meal, do you need anything else. Totally unfriendly. We sat there for 20 minutes waiting for the dessert menu which never came. I had to get up and ask for the check. Our waiter was very attentive to our adjoining tables, however ignored us. On my way out I explained our disappointment, however he could care less. These waiter has to go back...

Excellent food and service. Very reasonable in price. I'd say "cheap" but excellent value is more appropriate. Go with the servers recommendation. Four of us had 3 salads, three pastas and the tiramisu was the best I've ever had. We also had the sardines and pork chops for the main course. The only disappointment was the pork chops, over cooked and dry. The rest of the meal was worth it and I will definitely go back. Trust your server...
