Long wait, awful food, snobby staff. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
We tried the Spaghetti and Ravioli. Although the place was nearly empty, we had to wait 40+ minutes before the food finally arrived.
The Ravioli's lack of refinement was matched by the size of the portion: exactly 5 (small) pieces. The equally small portion of Spaghetti (with tuna and avocado) was served cold with a dressing of vinegar and sesame seeds. When we finally decided that this 'composition' was completely inpallatable, the ''chef' insisted that "this was the way the dish was supposed to taste like, and our complaints were futile (!)". Needless to say that excuses by the 'waitress' were not forthcoming. Neither were free espressos or any other token of goodwill.
After paying the rather sumptuous amount of 32,50€ for the two dishes and a bottle of water, we left the place on an empty stomach and a lesson wiser: don't go Fusion while there plenty of genuinely great Italian food can...
Read moreThis is a very special place. Teochef specializes in well selected meat, wines and creative selection of starters and main courses. Quality never disappoints, the staff is competent, with a very good memory & English spoken. The place is flawlessly clean and has a humble, some-what American diner'ish atmosphere. A must when in Bassano. Near the Ponte Vecchio and open from dawn till dusk. Wednesday is usually tartar night. Brunch starts at 10. 30 am. If you like Veneto-infused cuisine you are right here, do not expect red-white-green dishes. (for that take the highway south and exit no further than at least Rome)
I was here first in 2017 and have returned ever since. Since Bassano is famous for asparagus, go to Teo in...
Read moreDo you want to go to a really interesting restaurant with great service, atmosphere and a cooly decorated space? Where the menu and drinks list is imaginative and interesting? Well this might be the place for you. Any reservations? Yes, the menu is small and, in places, interesting, verging on strange. My partner had a great macceroni Carbonara which was brilliant. My spaghetti with lemon, pesto and raw prawns was, deliberately, served cold. Really tasty but (because I hadn't read the menu properly - doh!) not exactly what I was expecting. I'd check the menu before you go in and if there are things that appeal you will not be disappointed and will have a very...
