Wow!! Definitely one of the best dining experiences I have had in my life. First, the ambience: Cozy restaurant with a cute backstory inspired by the movie Amelie. Limited number of tables which makes it an intimate experience and ensures that the staff is super attentive. You feel like you’re being taken care of. The chef comes to say hello at the start of the dinner service.

Next, the food: Every dish we ate was absolutely delicious and generous in portion size. The decor and plating was perfect with subtle details to surprise us. We were two and shared everything in the menu. We got the Milanese risotto, duck magret and the ravioli. The chefs ensures that we each got a plate that was curated for our sharing approach so it felt like we were both getting the full experience. Each course (even desert!) has an “appetizer” of some sort on the house.

Finally the staff, super caring and lovely. They took the time to explain to us each item in the dish and the ingredients before we ate making it a full culinary experience.

I hope to return to Baveno just for this exact restaurants...

Best dinner I've EVER had. My wife and I are in our late 20's and we've done a lot of traveling over the past couple of years, and are total foodies from San Diego, CA. At this location, we had the best dinner that we have ever had in our lives. The ambience and Amélie theme are on-point and the service from the hostess/waitress/chef (who also came out to greet us and check in on the food), felt like something from a movie - it was PERFECT. They also have this bread basket that has this round ball of bread that we forgot the name/components of that blew us away as the tastiest bread we've had in our lives. Food was presented in a pristine fashion and we would not have made any changes to it; lots of ornamental edible herbs/flowers that perfectly complemented the dish in appearance and taste. They also brought along many unexpected extras that fit perfectly as well throughout the meal. Honestly the best places that used to be my 10/10 now sit at an 8/10...

Based on the glowing reviews I booked this restaurant to celebrate my partner's birthday and it was everything I hoped for and more!

It's a gorgeous little place, every table uniquely decorated, and it feels very special as soon as you walk in. The service is impeccable, and they speak English too.

The food is truly delicious and very good value, portions are substantial. There are little surprises throughout the dinner. The wine list is very comprehensive. And they brought my partner's dessert out with a candle, lights off, just as I requested. Thank you!!

Dinner here is special, and for a special occasion even more so. I agree with other diners, I've had some fine dining experiences in other places around the world, and this is at that level, but not at that price!

I'm very grateful that they did not have to close their business due to covid (as has happened around Italy), as Paolo and Miky have created a true gem with Amelie....
