My family and I went to this restaurant with a tour group and had an unpleasant experience. The service staff was subpar and the food was not great.

One of the guests in my tour group was served raw chicken and when we advised the server they were not apologetic at all. They took the plate away and then brought it back with the same vegetables and the same chicken that they re-cooked on the grill. This is a good example of cross-contamination...the guest should have been given fresh food (the guest did not eat her main course after she got her plate back). Then for dessert two guests at my table were served rotten pineapple that was brown and seemed to be on the verge of going bad. At this point, we were fed up with the service and food we were served and did not bother saying anything.

After reading reviews and seeing that they were recognized by the Michelin guide I was quite excited to dine at this restaurant. Unfortunately, my expectations for this restaurant were not met and my guests and I left unhappy and disappointed. We will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to any...

Auf Empfehlung unseres Hotels gingen wir ins Sootosopra. Wir wurden nett begrüßt und platziert. Dann passierte 15 Minuten einfach nichts. Uns wurden weder die Karten gebracht, noch wurden wir bei der Hitze nach Getränken gefragt. Das Servicepersonal bestand aus einem Oberkellner und zwei Läufern, er, immer am Laufen, nett und freundlich, sie hatte wohl von Anfang an keine Lust, zumindest zog sie ein Gesicht, als wäre sonst was passiert. Als uns dann endlich die Karten gebracht wurden und der Kellner zum Aufnehmen der Bestellung kam, begann das Theaterstück des heutigen Abends: Auf die Frage, ob das Parmesaneis Milch enthalte, kassierte ich nur ein Lachen und ein Augenrollen, ob ich denn nicht wisse, dass in Käse Milch ist? Ob er weiß, dass es bei Laktose einen Unterschied gibt?! Auf die Frage, ob denn die Spaghetti Vongole eine ausreichende Portion seien, kam nur knapp "kommt drauf an, ob sie Hunger haben." Aha. Danke für Nichts. Bei der Weinbestellung entschied ich mich für einen Weißwein auf der Tageskarte (Flasche), der Kellner stockte und gab ein grunzendes Geräusch von sich, auf die Frage, ob das denn die falsche Wahl sei oder ob er einen anderen empfehlen würde, kam einfach nur Schweigen. Gut, Bestellung war durch, ein Brotkorb wurde gereicht, der offensichtlich schon angefressen wurde. Darauf hingewiesen nahm die junge Dame den Brotkorb augenrollenderweise wieder mit, gab uns einen neuen und stellten den angefressenen auf den nächsten Tisch! Geht's noch?! Ab dann wurde wir für weitere Getränkebestellungen ignoriert, der Kellner hatte mit jedem Spaß, wir wurden sitzen gelassen wie die letzten Idioten. Zum Essen: als Vorspeise hatte ich ein Lachstatar mit Avocado, nicht der Rede wert, kleine Portion, der Lachs übersalzen, die Avocado dafür kein Stück und komplett unreif. Als Hauptspeise haben wir uns zu dritt für die Spaghetti Vongole mit Kürbisblüten entschieden. Statt drei Portionen bekamen wir eine Pfanne auf den Tisch geklatscht, so dass wir uns selbst daraus nehmen mussten, was noch ok wäre, aber die Portion war eine Frechheit. Keiner von uns ist auch nur annähernd satt geworden, was kosten bitte Spaghetti? Zumal wir auch gefragt hatten und der Herr Oberkellner wusste, dass wir hungrig sind. Der Nebentisch erhielt dasselbe Essen, einzeln auf einem Teller und der Teller hätte voller nicht sein können. Geschmacklich auch nichts tolles, die Kürbisblüten waren winzige Matschklekse im Essen. Insgesamt haben wir für 3 Vorspeisen, 3 Hauptgerichte, 2 Flaschen Wasser und eine Flasche Wein 113€ gezahlt. Nie wieder. Einen überheblicheren Kellner hatte ich in meinem Leben noch nie und er hat das ohnehin mittelmäßige Essen komplettiert und einen richtig schlechten Abend für uns...

Food was excellent. Service was not. Once food was delivered to table, waiter did not return until 15 minutes or more after we finished eating, no offer to fill drinks, if we liked it or see if we needed anything. Asked about dessert, but we did not want any. Waited another 15+ minutes watching him wait on rest of tables in our little room, but not us. Finally we requested bill, so he then picked up most of our plates but asked one of the ladies at our table to hand him hers. She did and then he asked for her silverware too. Apparently it was too much for him to go around our small table to do it himself. Not what I expected from a restaurant of...

Bel locale, qualità e presentazione dei piatti davvero ottima, MA... l'impostazione e il contenuto menù è a livello di trappola per turisti, assolutamente fuori luogo per il tono ricercato che si vuole dare il locale (che , invece, sicuramente si dà a livello di prezzi). All'esterno del locale c'è una invitante lavagna che annuncia un menù del giorno a 28€. Considerate le recensioni positive e le belle foto dei piatti, si decide di provare. Surprise surprise, una volta dentro, si scopre che "le proposte dello chef" sono: pasta al ragù e milanese con le patatine!!! Ma scherziamo? Per confronto, con la stessa cifra, in un qualsiasi ristorante sull'Isola dei Pescatori hai un menù di due portate con pescato del giorno (e mangi in terrazza in riva al lago). Non dico che col menù "turistico" si possa pretendere chissà che cosa, ma da un ristorante con la porta costellata di adesivi della guida Michelin ci si aspetterebbe qualcosa di più ricercato del "menù bambini" di tutti i ristoranti d'Italia. Il resto del menù è generalmente caro. Non tantissima la scelta, quasi nessuna proposta di pesce di lago. Attenzione: nel menù non sono riuscito a trovare da nessuna parte, indicazione del costo dell'acqua, delle altre bevande che non fossero vini, o del caffè. Solo sul conto ho scoperto che la normalissima bottiglia da 0,75l di naturale costava ben 4€! Mi sembra un po' tantino, visto che non stiamo parlando di acqua con particolari proprietà miracolose. Alla fine il conto, con due antipasti, due primi, un dolce, una bottiglia d'acqua e una mezza bottiglia di rosso ha sfiorato i 100€. Ribadisco: tutto buonissimo, ma il retrogusto che rimane, alla fine, è quello di essere stati presi in giro. Purtroppo non posso consigliarlo.

The food is excellent, but the best of this restaurant is the service. We with the family love sotto sopra for the amazing service, always with a smile! The waiter Igor is a passionate man who is always in for a laugh, and the girl with glasses also provides amazing service. The food shows the expertise of the high skilled cooks in the kitchen, and there is something for everyone. High variety in the menu - fish, meat, and vegetarian. You do have to make a reservation a couple days in advance, but it’s 100% definitely worth it!

I had a steak antricot with fried potatos. Disappointed!!! Made well done, I must say I did buy a steak in one of the supermarket's in the area and made it will simple pan and it was much better. At home i use smoker and I really know how to make a good steak. The service was great and the waiter was really nice. But, As a michlein restaurant I expected a really high quality, the experience was exactly the same as highway restaurant. One word disappointment.

Attenzione: nel menù non sono riuscito a trovare da nessuna parte, indicazione del costo dell'acqua, delle altre bevande che non fossero vini, o del caffè. Solo sul conto ho scoperto che la normalissima bottiglia da 0,75l di naturale costava ben 4€! Mi sembra un po' tantino, visto che non stiamo parlando di acqua con particolari proprietà miracolose. Alla fine il conto, con due antipasti, due primi, un dolce, una bottiglia d'acqua e una mezza bottiglia di rosso ha sfiorato i 100€. The food is excellent, but the best of this restaurant is the service. We with the family love sotto sopra for the amazing service, always with a smile! The waiter Igor is a passionate man who is always in for a laugh, and the girl with glasses also provides amazing service. The food shows the expertise of the high skilled cooks in the kitchen, and there is something for everyone. High variety in the menu - fish, meat, and vegetarian.
