Last Hall — Restaurant in Baveno

Well what can one say. It's Baveno Italy. Outside of Milan. The last Hall is the the resteaunt inside the Grand Hotel Dino. For a taste of the old country you've found it here. There's no exaggeration when I say it's the best Italian food on the planet. Nothing like the real thing is the real thing. Food here has ingredients that have no preservatives. What a difference that makes. The only word that comes to mind is succulent!!!! Please give this a try, words do not do justice to this fine dining experience. From the accents, the food, the atmosphere of the real old West from it's origins. That's right. Why do you think they call those movies spaghetti westerns. I believe this is the new menu at the Last Hall restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing. It is a small menu, but absolute care is taken when preparing the food. The egg truffle reminded me of warming up to a delicious bowl of mushroom soup on a cold day. The pumpkin risotto had the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. And both the veal and venison were fall off the bone perfection. This has been one of the few restaurants in Italy that cooked the meat correctly. Was not chewing or gamey. so all you had to think about was how pleasant the experience was. Not how you’re able to cut through this rough meat. The atmosphere is unbeatable - we were sat at a table outside overlooking the hotel's pool and the lake, watching as the sun went down. There was also a very talented musician playing which only added to the charm! The waiters and staff were polite and helpful in assisting us with our menu choices. Given 4 stars because although the food was good, I don't think it quite warrants the prices (although I understand that part of what we were paying for was the location!) - however the menu changes so had we visited at a different time, this may have not been so.
