Trattoria da Gino (cucina aperta a pranzo) — Restaurant in Belluno

Gino was such a pleasure to meet over lunch today! We were brought back to some tastes and flavors of my husband's Italian grandmother, who was from the Friuli area. It was a highlight of our start in Belluno and we would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is traveling into Belluno!😍 The service was great, and the value was very much worth the wonderful food. 2 people for 26 euros. We had a simple salad for starters, table wine with salami, cheese and bread. My first course was zuppa con orzo, second course was baccala, mashed potatoes and polenta, and then lastly according to tradition, was a nice shot of espresso. Can't find a better way to finish a meal than with a great tasting cup of espresso.

What a great time. The relaxed jazz music matched the laid back, clean and tasteful decor of old Italy days. The restaurant was bustling with customers familiar and new on a Friday afternoon. Perfect for just enough hullabaloo to be exciting, but...

Per la serie l'apparenza (lesterno) inganna, per una giornata di affiancamento con uno dei miei consulenti, oggi ho scelto la Trattoria da Gino per il pranzo, il breefing diurno e serale e una volta entrati, beh che spettacolo di sorpresa..! Ambiente: ☆☆☆☆☆ Meravigliosamente rustico, legno ovunque, bellissimo, una Trattoria che sa di montagna in ogni aspetto, guardate le foto e fate voi... Menu ☆☆☆☆ All'ingresso ci si trova con una bella lavagna con il menu del giorno che già invita ad accomodarsi... Un menu classico, poche portate ma accompagnate da un piccolo antipasto su un bel togliete di legno, di un salamino cacciatore locale con formaggio, due primi, due secondi, un contorno da scegliere... io ho scelto la zuppa d'orzo e la cotoletta impanate con contorno di fagioli, tutto buono ma....... non del tutto convincente, forse una scelta di piatti maggiore, sarebbe stata meglio valutata. Servizio ☆☆☆☆☆ Senza esitazione, ottimo, belle le tavolate, ottima la capacità sociale del servizio, bellissima la presenza, con un fiaschetto, i bicchieri, il porta olio/aceto, le posate, insomma tutto ciò che meglio può ricordare di essere in una vecchia, tradizionale ma perfettamente modernizzata Trattoria. Prezzo ☆☆☆☆☆ Due menù completi, caffè e amaro, 35€ non a caso se non avessi prenotato non avrei trovato alcun posto a sedere, da qui traete voi le conclusioni... per me resterà certamente un locale da cui tornare ogni volta che...

Wow! My family and I, who are are American, stopped here while driving through. The waiters and waitresses were so kind, and despite not knowing much English, made us feel so welcome. The chef herself spoke English and helped us order and understand. The food was absolutely incredible and the atmosphere was so cute and cozy! It felt like we were welcomed into an Italian...
