This simple counter-service is super packed in the early afternoon on a weekday, but it is worth bearing out the crowds, because the food is DELICIOUS and very reasonably priced for the quality. I got a lentil soup and cheese lasagna which was very tasty and a very generous portion; enough for a hardy lunch appetite! There is barely room for a group much larger than two people to be able to find a seat with the popularity of the restaurant, so you should not expect to be able to comfortably sit (might want to take it to go, or expect to wait for a table), but other than that it is fabulous! The level of cuisine found here rivals the best we've had in our travels and is a real bargain for what they offer - super tender, tiny octopus (moscardini) in a delightful sauce over white polenta, baccalà mantecato, or crepes in a light béchamel with radicchio tardivo and taleggio.

There are only 12-15 seats at counters or double tables. Perfect for solo and couple dinners. Take-out is available.
