This evening we had our very best meal in the North of Italy, at the unpretentious and and highly affordable Da Gian. The clean but small and basic dining room is enlivened by some gentle South American jazz kept in the background. The food seems simple enough, but is simply delicious, which of course takes great skill. A starter of buckwheat tagliatelle with cabbage and potatoes amazed us. Comfort food indeed. Mains of meatballs in barbecue sauce and seabass equally good. Excellent local wines and a good dessert completed a memorable meal. But that's not all. The owners made us feel genuinely welcome guests. They present their food with pride and love, and love to share it. Do visit if you have the chance. You won't regret it. Great chef....
Read moreMe and my husband were walking around before going off to the airport and we decided to eat in this lovely restaurant. The owner lady is very sweet and recommended my husband what to order. As for me, I showed one of the Google reviews photo and it wasn’t on the menu for that day. (I guess the menu change daily) The lady explained to me that I wanted to order wasn’t on the menu for that day but she was very kind to make it for me.
Conclusion - Both meal were delicious!!! We love it. So we ordered Tiramisu for dessert. And the price is very reasonable compared with other nearby...

The lovely owner was talking with us and explaining their menu, she helped with vegetarian choices. We decided to return to eat later and weren't at all disappointed. Really tasty local food, well presented and served with a smile....
