A small, charming café with surprisingly good espresso. We had two espressos which, although slightly low in texture by Southern Italian standards, were not only impressively well-balanced but also full of flavor. We also tried some traditional Southern Italian pastries with a sugar glaze – the glaze had firmed up a bit due to the fridge and the inside was soft and filled with a smooth, creamy center. Ho voluto acquistare in questa pasticceria un panettone artigianale, su consiglio di un bar di Trani, durante un tour in Puglia. Risultato, pessima sorpresa. Panettone duro e non fresco come decantavano nella pasticceria. Peccato. Tanta strada in macchina per raggiungere questa rinomata pasticceria. Ho chiamato il proprietario per informarlo dell’accaduto. Come risposta, secondo lui, i suoi panettoni sono perfetti. Non lo si mette in dubbio, ma quello acquistato era duro ed immangiabile. Non voglio aggiungere altri commenti, ma una cosa va detta. Qui al sud, guardiamo la punta del naso, la bottega i soldi, il guadagno. Il turista non è solo un avventore, ma un ambasciatore, dimenticando che poi questi ultimi, rientrano nelle loro sedi. Pubblicizzano le bellezze di una straordinaria regione come è la Puglia.
