Antica Cagliari Lungomare Terrazza — Restaurant in Cagliari

July, 11th in 2025 we have been here for having Lunch. Upon arrival our Reservation got controlled at the entrance. Then we got a sticky note and could go upstairs where our note got controlled. Then we got presented a table directly in the Sunshine with view at the Street and behind there the Beach. Fast we got the Menu and ordered 6 Scampi (8 € per piece) and Tuna TARTARE (16 €). From the House we received fresh bread. For that I have asked the young waiter with short hair and beard for some Butter. But he has forgotten to bring it during our whole stay. Then the Scampi were served. But only 5 instead of ordered and charged 6 pieces were served. We have made our complaint and then 3 waiter appeared because none of them was believing it. But after counting and checking it one more Scampi was served. The taste was fresh. Then we were waiting that our finished meals should be taken away including the used dirty plates and Cutlery. But nothing has happened within 10 minutes. So I have asked the young waiter with very short hair and beard to do that. Again he has forgotten it. So I have asked another waiter to do it. Then we wanted to start eating our Tuna TARTARE. We saw that the portion was small because it was bedded on little cut pieces of Apples. The quality of the Tuna was poor due to plenty of muscels. Meanwhile the young waiter with very short hair and beard removed the dishes from the neighbour table. What a pity that all fell down from his Trolley. Now we wanted to pay. We got informed about our Table number and should pay downstairs at the Cash point. So we went downstairs but there was nobody. After 5 minutes one waiter appeared. He has named the amount without presenting us the Bill. After asking for it we finally got it. Then we have asked a female staff member outside for a Taxi. After waiting 20 minutes a black Limousine but not a Taxi arrived. We have asked for the price for the distance of 6 km to our Hotel and should pay 30 € what we have rejected. To reach the Restaurant from our Hotel we have paid 15 €. My subjective individual rating: Location: 4 Stars Service: 1 Star Price and value for money: 2 Stars Quality of Tuna...

The restaurant is located in Porto, not far away from the beach. The view from the terrace is very nice. I advise to book a table in advance. Unfortunately, our experience was unpleasant. When bread was served, the waiter refused to serve some butter upon our request.

We ordered tuna tartar. It was served on the bed of tasteless apple. Poor quality of tuna with many muscles. Awful.

Ordered 6 raw scampi to share. Each piece charged with 8.- euro. They were served on ice. But imagine they put 5 raw scampi instead of 6. When we complained to one of the waiter he started to investigate our plates. Then 3 other different waiters arrived to check if there were just 5 served. Finally, we got the missing piece. While ordering we asked to serve scampi as a started and then tuna tartar. But all two meals were served at the same time. We ate our tuna tartar but nobody even had an idea to exchange our plates and cutlery. Long waiting time to get a clean plate. Scampi were good.

The service is awful, not caring nor attentive.

To pay the bill we went downstairs. The lady was busy and asked to wait. Another waiter appeared, verified our table number and told us the amount to be paid without printing the bill. In god we trust when paying the bill.

Another trick, when you ask them to call a standard taxi be ready to get a private limousine service. The drive to the city centre will be charged 30.- euro.

I had booked a table for 7:30 pm. We arrived at 7:27 pm, but were told that the restaurant was closed and would only open in five minutes. Everyone who arrived had to wait outside, as the staff decided to open the doors later than the advertised opening time.

According to the reviews and description, the restaurant offers both sea views and sunset views. However, it should be noted that the sea view is from one side, while the sunset can only be seen from the opposite side – so it’s not possible to enjoy both at the same time.

As for the food, it was unfortunately disappointing. The bread served first was neither crispy, fresh, nor fragrant. The tuna tartare lacked flavor, and the shellfish soup was under-seasoned. My main course, the sea bream, was actually tasty, but it was served drowning in sauce, which made the presentation unappetizing despite the good flavor. The rosemary potatoes were missing rosemary altogether.

On the positive side, the cocktails were very good, and the waiter taking our order was friendly and welcoming.

Overall, while the drinks and service were pleasant, the food and overall experience did not meet expectations. I would recommend visiting only for drinks rather than for...
