Al Poetto Sapori di Mare – Terra e Pizza This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the Poseidon Rooms AirBNB, and should have mae an advanced reservation by Rianni, the owner of the Poseidon Rooms. The boss of the restaurant welcomed and seated us, and acknowledged that we have a special privilege with Rianni. The menu is based on large Pizza’s and Pasta’s selection. We went for three types of Pizza’s, thru recommendation by the waitress. It turned out one was a sausage and potato pizza, a bit special and another one sort of white pizza with a few stripes of salmon, while the third person had a traditional Al Funghi pizza. The taste was good, well oven-baked with a certain wood flavor, but still away from a WOW … unbelievable feeling. The wine recommendation was good, we loved the Isellis, a Sardinian Red. The boss at the end offered us a shot of digestive as token of appreciation, but we did not get the promised 10% discount as the cashier seemed to be the patron’s mother, and not willing to offer the discount. Honestly speaking, a bit disappointed…expected much better quality and value for money. This quality you can get in London easily. Overall prize of the pizza is around 10 - 12 Euro,...
Read moreDined here today and had a fantastic experience. The pizza was absolutely delicious, and the wine was just as impressive. I also got a dessert, fried ravioli which was very tasty, better than I thought it will be.
The overall vibe of the restaurant is warm, welcoming, and well put together. All staff members are dressed uniformly, which adds a nice touch of professionalism.
I’d especially like to highlight one exceptional team member—a young woman with tattoos on her left arm. She appeared to be the youngest on staff but stood out as a natural leader. She seemed completely in tune with everything happening in the restaurant, organizing effortlessly and with genuine care. Her passion for the job was obvious. If she isn't already in a leadership position, she absolutely should be.
One small suggestion: it would be great to have a larger or more noticeable sign outside. The restaurant is a bit hidden—you have to walk in and take a lift to the first floor. At first, we almost turned around, thinking it was closed. It would be a shame for people to miss out on such a great place simply because it's...
Read moreOur meals were okay and we liked them. As for the service, it's a complete disaster. They don't pay attention to customers at all. Even though about 3 waiters saw that we had finished eating, they completely ignored us for 15 minutes. No one came to ask about drinks if we "accidentally" wanted something. It's a shame for the owner, we could have spent more. And if it was at every table, he would have been happier after the summer. They walked around like they were in a park for a walk. When we left, not one of the staff even greeted us. That's how they value customers. I've never seen more amateurism. And that restaurant has good...
