Worst customer service I have ever received in Italy.

I booked in advanced online and received an email confirming and then another email in the morning of my reservation to reconfirm and I reconfirmed immediately on the link ; yet my reservation was still canceled: don’t bother having an online booking system and sending a rebooking confirmation link via email if you don’t actually use it.

Email from restaurant which I was shocked to receive

“

I stopped by the restaurant to show the above email. the very rude staff member insisting she had called me three times and going back and forth with me having to show my phone that I had no miss calls. I felt like I was in court having to provide evidence and the insisting it was ridiculous, in the end she had wrote down the wrong number, instead of just following that I had actually reconfirmed via email that morning or writing an email to ask if I was coming just emailed above telling me it was canceled.

The food and atmosphere are top level. Very nice restaurant. Even if pasta con vongole was a bit complicated to my taste. I prefer a simple sea flavor. But it’s matter of taste for sure. Octopus was perfectly made. We were lucky to have a young lady at service and she was very friendly and helpful. But then her boss has arrived and made us feel so uncomfortable(( We were with the kid and it was not simple to choose something for him from the menu. We couldn’t take bottle of wine as we were by car and there was no information about wine by glasses list. The description we got - we have local white and red. We had to ask about grape and style. It seemed all our questions were so annoying for the lady. And she clearly expressed it by her short replies and tone of voice. Even considering all pluses I wouldn’t come back. We loved this place so much. We went there for two nights in a row!

Firstly, the restaurant makes use of a large public outdoors terrace that overlooks Camogli beach and provided for spectacular sunset view.

Secondly; the food is delicious, eclectic and elegantly presented. On both nights, we had raw prawns for starters which were so fresh you can taste and smell the sea when eating them. We also tried the scallops which were cooked just enough to maintain the fresh and unique taste.

For mains, we tried the sea urchin risotto which was out of this world - must try. We also had the amberjack tortellini with caviar which was equally delicious. We also tried the purple prawn pasta and the clams spaghetti - both great second options.
