The food was good. But let me preface this with: my husband is Italian and I’ve lived in Italy for over 5yrs, I write the below with this perspective and not the American one.

My (Italian) aunt and uncle took us here tonight because they love the food and normally come for lunch. In Italy, its normal to stop the waiter and say you’re ready to order. The man we stopped told us that they take the orders in order that the tables come in.

We waited about 30min before we could order and after another 10min or so we asked them to at least please bring us some bread.

Once we ordered the food did come out pretty quickly, but they forgot the sides we had asked for and when we mentioned it they said that we had expressed ourselves wrong or that the girl taking our order had not understood us (essentially taking zero responsibility).

There was a table that arrived shortly after we did and by the time we were eating our first course they had yet to order. We had finished our second courses by the time their pizzas finally arrived. I know we should mind our own business but my aunt had made a comment about how that table had been waiting for (SO) so long and the waitress said “it’s Sunday night and they asked for pizza, they knew what they were getting themselves into. They’ll decide if they want to come back or not” (the Scandinavian couple was visibly upset and obviously did not know what they were getting into).

We did not stay for dessert because a lady in the table right next to the Scandinavians fainted just as their pizzas arrived. Probably from waiting so long for her order (ok that’s a joke but it was quite fitting).

Needless to say, we will not be returning and I think our aunt and uncle who love this place...

Siamo andati alla vela il 21 agosto, per festeggiare il compleanno di mia madre, lei sfortunatamente ha prenotato senza leggere le recensioni ed è stato l'errore più grande che abbia fatto. Siamo arrivati al ristorante, avevamo prenotato per le 20:30 e siamo arrivati alle 20:35, ci chiedono il nome e loro ci dicono che non siamo segnati, da come si ricorda mia madre, aveva usato il nome di mio padre, ma avevano segnato al nome di lei. Ci portano al tavolo ma vediamo che è per 6/7 persone e allora gli diciamo che siamo solo in 3, lui va alla ricerca del nostro tavolo ma poi si scopre che non c'era e quindi ci hanno messi in un tavolo casuale. Abbiamo aspettato mezz'ora solo per ordinare, ho anche provato a chiamare il signore (suppongo che sia il proprietario) e la scena è stata questa: Io lo chiamo, lui mi guarda, mi ignora e se ne va. Alla fine abbiamo chiamato un'altra donna, bionda, e ha detto "sisi per ordinare ora vi chiamo l'altra ragazza" Per le bibite non sapevano nemmeno i vini, dato che, al posto di elencarli, ci hanno fatto aspettare ulteriormente per portarci la lista. Dopo aver ordinato, l'antipasto è arrivato in una decina di minuti, la ragazza più giovane è stata gentilissima, ammetto che mi faceva pena, dato che la maggior parte del lavoro lo faceva solo lei (calcolate che il personale era composto da: il signore, la signora bionda e lei; la giovane doveva: prendere le ordinazioni, portare i piatti e sparecchiare). Per i primi abbiamo aspettato più di un'ora. Ora vi descrivo tutti i piatti (antipasti e primi): ANTIPASTI Saltè di cozze: piccole e alcune erano pastose; Insalata di mare: buona, non eccezionale ma consigliata; Polpo e patate: l'antipasto più buono dei tre, molto saporito, anche se si sentiva che il polpo era surgelato; PRIMI risotto alla crema di scampi: un po' tanto devo ammetterlo, sciapo, infatti ho dovuto chiedere del sale; Farfalle al coregone: molto buono e saporito; Amatriciana di pesce: il piatto migliore dei tre, specialità del ristorante e molto saporito, consigliato.

Servizio: scadente, poco organizzato e mancanza di personale. Durante l'attesa non hanno nemmeno portato il pane.

Questo ristorante ha molti alti e bassi, quindi non lo consiglio per chi vuole...
