La piccola torre — Restaurant in Carovigno

Terrible. We scheduled an 8 person reservation and when we showed up for our reservation they had given our table away to a 10 person table that had walked up just before us. They said it will be 5 minutes before the next table gets up. 32 minutes later they finally got up only for the restaurant to sit another group that came behind us at that table!!!! They said the table they had promised us ended up being too small for our group. After wondering why they promised it in the first place they promised us another table in 5 minutes. We walked 30 steps down the street to a restaurant with a better view and were sat immediately. We are now currently EATING our food down the street when we looked over to see that SECOND table promised to us still sitting there with the same people. Glad we made the decision to leave and get food 30 feet away.

We arrived in Torre Santa Sabina, after trying out two other restaurants before found La Piccola Torre. The staff are very attentive but not overpowering. We have eaten there for the past three nights, each time trying different dishes. I have to say that the food on all three occasions was delightful for both of us, never rushed. The fact that the staff did not know much English and we knew little to no italian made the experience even better, they made our experience a delight. After reading some of the poor review, I can only think that the staff have been completely changed or the reviewers were having a bad day. We are meeting up with family and friends who are flying in to be at a wedding with us, we are dying to invite them to dine here with us at LA Piccola...
