Ristorante Pizzeria "Al Ristoro" — Restaurant in Carovigno

I had a wonderful time at Al Ristoro. Angelo the owner was so kind to pick me up from the airport of Brindisi and drive me to the hotel (for 30 Euros) where i spent one night and had a meal. The place is simple yet warm and welcoming, conviniently located at a 5' walk from the beach. I found the village of Torre Santa Sabina wonderful for its simple and prinstine beauty, preserved by its distance from major touristic areas. La mia prima (ed ultima) esperienza in questo locale è stata pessima: innanzitutto abbiamo ordinato degli antipasti che sono arrivati a scaglioni: metà tavolo mangiava e l altra metà aspettava. Una dividione che neanche la Germania in piena guerra fredda. nel frattempo è arrivato un primo che abbiamo dovuto rispedire in cucina. Povero L. C. piuttosto muore di fame ma rispetta l' ordine naturale delle cose e prima vuole l' antipasto e poi il primo! Coerente! alcuni antipasti non sono proprio arrivati al tavolo e abbiamo dovuto sollecitare quando finalmente sono arrivati gli antipasti che mancavano ci siamo accorti che ne avevano portate piu porzioni di quelle ordinate (2 impepate in più e 3 fritture in più ) dopo gli antipasti e molta attesa quando sembrava che fossero arrivati i primi i camerieri hanno cominciato a giocare al gioco delle 3 carte: ora c'è il piatto... ora non c'è. Ovvero: hanno servito 4 primi su 7 ma ad un certo punto magia... "fermi! non mangiate" esclamò la cameriera.... "questi non sono i vostri piatti" 😱😱 Avevano fatto confusione con le comande e quelli erano i primi di un altro tavolo, allora ce li hanno tolti da sotto il naso e serviti al tavolo corretto... peccato che un paio di noi avessero già cominciato a mangiare 😨 (e che sarà mai per un paio di cavatelli in meno per l'altro tavolo!) in fine devo dire che il mio primo 'linguine all' astice' più che altro avevano il sapore di linguine al pomodoro. Anche i paccheri alla pescatrice una delusione.

In definitiva: servizio voto 2 (ogni tavolo dovrebbe essere servito da un unico cameriere e non da 5 come successo a noi, chiaro che poi fanno confusione) cucina voto 4,5 location voto 6 (dehor esterno carino)

Wow! I totally recommend this place. The food is super tasty and fresh, the wine is great, and the service is excellent. On weekends in the evenings it can get a bit crowded, so you might need to wait for a table, but the staff really do their best. During the week it’s much quieter, and you can usually sit down right away. The staff are just amazing. This was already my second time here during my vacation, and I’ll definitely be back...
