This family owned business was a wonderful last minute find for lunch after our visit to St Rita. The owner personally greeted, sat and served us. He was very warm, kind and friendly. We had our 3 year old and 1 year old with us and they were happy to have us. Everything there was homemade and delicious. We ordered the carbonara, cannelloni, and spaghetti. For an entire week, I went there with my family for lunch and dinner and it was always amazing. Good food, home made, and made with love. The products are local, and the deer and the trouth are hunted/fished by the owner. A true welcoming experience. And at the end of the meal, we always get a array of homemade (by the owner mom) cookies and pies that are the perfect ending. They gave the best caneloni and gnocchi that I've ever...

Quest'oggi dopo aver visitato Cascia, io mia moglie e una coppia di amici con il loro figlio siamo stati a pranzo all'Appennino, locale che chiamarlo trattoria, ristorante o sostantivi simili è fargli un torto, io lo definirei, senza ombra di esagerazione, uno "scrigno del buon gusto a conduzione familiare." Un desinare che è un perfetto connubio tra gusto e autenticita' del territorio, ingredienti distribuiti come un'opera d'arte, i piatti sono tutti confezionati dalle mani operose della mamma di Walter che insieme alla nuora riescono a elaborare piatti succulenti da fare invidia a molti chef stellati. La cucina è semplice, schietta senza inutili orpelli i quali, molto spesso, sono privi di sostanza e genuinità, le porzioni sono più che generose e il rapporto qualità/prezzo è più che equilibrato. Walter, il titolare è una persona squisita, premuroso ti "accompagna" nella scelta delle pietanze, consigliandoti e spiegandoti i vari piatti del menù. Consigliatissimo. Un suggerimento, Walter, bene rispondere alle recensioni ma le risposte sono troppo sintetiche sono sicuro che sai fare meglio del semplice grazie.
