We have been to five Pizzeria/restaurants in Pisa/ Chianti so far and this has the best food. Very good pizza, steak and chicken dishes and nice starters/ist. Very good service, very attentive and helful waiters. The restaurant was fully booked (as with most restaurants we had to eat outside due to COVID requirements, all the good resterants get booked, but they reserved a table for 9pm in the lower courtyard, which is also atmospheric overlooking the Tuscan hills below the car park. We spent the hour waiting at the nice wine bar down the hill where the boys played pool and we had drinks. Read moreThe wild boar ragu was the worst pasta dish I have ever been served at a restaurant. I've had better ragu in English pubs. Genuinely quite laughable.
They forgot our order half-way through, which is no terrible mistake, but added on the bad food, pop music blaring and lack of tissues in the toilet and it paints a picture of a restaurant that hasn't got it together at all.
I have to say, though, that the staff were lovely. The pizza was also decent, no complaints there. Just don't bother with the rest of the menu. I hate to leave bad reviews but I don't want people to be hoodwinked by a 4.4 rating that I assume owes more to friends and family than the quality...

We had the Tuscan bread and bean soup , nit at all what it should look or tase like ,arrived cold and brown looking ,would not recommend. We then had pizza , good crust but honestly no topping what so ever other than tomato , we had a sausage meat and a mushroom pizza , if we has 3 pieces of meat and 3 mushrooms on each 12" pizza that would be max , good crust and sauce but NO toppings - so order just that a plain pizza to go! .Disappointed to say the least and oh the music was off and on switching...
