Vela blu — Restaurant in Castheddu/Castelsardo

Went here as a group of 4, recommended to us by a local and had a very bad service. The view is great, we came right on sunset. The food was okay - classic Italian, nothing spectacular but good overall, no remarks on the quality, but the service was terrible. Ordered a couple of dishes (appetizers and second courses with one of us also ordering a first course to be shared by the whole table), agreed with the waiter on the order of the food coming out and then just sat there and waited... The appetizers (oysters) came rather quickly, but the first course was nowhere to be seen, even after 45 mins. Then one of us got their dish, after 10 mins another plate came to the table, after 15 mins followed by the first course (which came to the table after we finished our plates). It took an additional 20 minutes for the final plate to come, all together we sat at the table for over 2 hours, most of it waiting on our food. Pizzas were coming out quickly and a lot of people got their food before ours, and you could see the waiters were lost. Find a different place for dinner, the place wasn't even full and they were...

This was so bad I don't know where to start. Waiter was rude, I ordered prawn pasta, got cheap pasta with bland tomato sauce and two chopped prawns😲My boyfriend ordered gnocchi and again this same sauce and few bits of bacon, but the worst was to come, when I asked for a bill and they took the money and didn't give me change 10e(tip was already included in the bill). After waiting for good 10min I went and asked and the guy was pretending that he doesn't understand, then another guy cam and was surprised that I want my change, took another 10min a he brought 10e without saying even sorry. I felt so embarrassed, did they though that this service and bad food deserve 15e in total...

Below is a picture of 2 portions of calamati fritti., 16€ each for a total of 32 €. Calamari were raw and chevy. Portion was too small for the price. Felt sick the whole day after eating here. One of the worst and most expansive places to eat in the area. I have eaten all across sardegna and this was the worst place of all. Felt unwelcome. Unattentive staff. You can see the sea but you are not close to it. Clams were good and the portion was fair. Mixed meat plate was a rip off. Got 3 pieces of filllet and one small sausage, for 18€ although tasty, not enough for the money. Not a fancy place but they charge you as if they are. 0 for taste 0 for portions Bad experience.
