View sunset lounge bar — Restaurant in Castheddu/Castelsardo

The two stars are for the view. We reserved a table, but were treated as though we had not. The waitress and the barman were doing their best in the face of too many orders, at a busy time, in a fully booked room. I understand that the barman probably feels he works better and more efficiently on his own, but if the bar was divided into two work-stations, with two people preparing, and if there were two wait staff instead of one, everybody might get served within 5 or 6 minutes, instead of waiting 15 minutes before even ordering. We tried to order a second drink, were told the usual "Just a second", and gave up after being ignored for a further 20 minutes. The attitude towards guests was brusque and controlling, not a good experience to file away in our memories of Alghero. This was very much in contrast with the smooth, professional operation in the same room at breakfast, where there were at least 3 waiting staff for a somewhat less busy room. It was quite an experience. The view is impeccable, however the service was grumpy and with a bad attitude. As soon as we sat down on the terrace outside to enjoy the view and have a drink, the waitress came and told us that we cannot sit there because it was raining, even though it was showering and there was a tent over the area that we sat, so we were directed to go outside. We asked nicely for the drink menu since there was the food menu on the table, but the waitress rudely pointed out that the we have to scan the menu that was on the table. We noticed that 2 other people were sitting in the area that we initially sat, so we asked if we could go back there to smoke a cigarette and drink there. Again, with an attitude she told us that we can smoke on the pavement instead. We refused and told her that we can take our drinks ourselves and walk about 10 metres to the area were we could enjoy the view and our drink. She shook her head and left with the "ok then as you say so" attitude. View:...

Posto carino, non c'è parcheggio ed è una zona abbastanza trafficata. Ha una vista molto bella, soprattutto al tramonto. Detto ciò veniamo al bar e si suoi prodotti. Prezzi relativamente altini per non essere a portocervo ( un aperol spirts 7 euro) siamo poi solo a Castelsardo... Pensi beh ti porteranno qualcosa con 7 euro di spirts (avevamo preso anche altro), si una ciotola che fa ridere di patatine del sacchetto. Ore 18.45 tutto ciò, neanche le 16 del pomeriggio. Notiamo dunque che nella lista ci sono vari taglieri di diverse dimensioni e costi, ci dicono che è possibile averli solo dalle 19 nonostante non ci sia scritto un orario, al contrario della lista del pranzo in cui è ben precisato...Cosa furba, per farsi i soldi. Come fornitura di distillati buona, cocktail potrebbero ampliare la lista.... cocktail un po' annacquati dal fatto che ci mettono troppo ghiccio, e il ghiaccio di cui dispongono ha dei cubetti grandi e pieni dunque diciamo senza nessun problema che ripiempie bene il bicchiere. Allorché ci dicono essendo le 18.45, che effettuano solo patatine fritte (sulla lista sono presenti le clastiche 6 euro e le rustiche 7 euro), richiedo allora queste patatine classiche...però mi vengono servire quelle rustiche, noto con occhio abbastanza esperto che la ragazza non chiede la precisazione delle patatine a chi ordina ...passo molto furbo dal punto di vista del locale perché non offrendo "cibo" nell'ora dell'aperitivo, si accapparra da tutti i tavoli 1 euro, sarà pur poco..ma a fine giornata frutta. Passando al personale, di poche parole e si limitano a servire e a prendere l'odinazione, senza spiacciare un sorriso. Chiedo dei tovaglioli giustamente, avendo preso le patatine fritte dato che sul tavolo non sono presenti...qualcuno li ha mai visti? li sto ancora aspettando ora! Ringrazio la signora vicino a me che aveva un bimbo ed era in possesso di salviette. Tantissimi punti a favore al ragazzo con gli occhi azzurri, un po' timido e forse un po' alla vista impacciato però davvero cortese e professionale a livello empatico. Invece un' altra un po' in carne, è arrivata a chiedere ordini a dei tavoli smascellando per masticare un chewing gum, poco professionale ma tolto quello non è proprio piacevole vedere una scena così. Ultima pecca super a sfavore, per i pagamenti in contanti ( mi urta vedere ciò, ma tolto questo potrebbe creare gravi problemi ai Camerieri): viene chiesto di pagare subito, okay nessun problema ... Noi per esempio consegnamo 50 euro, quei soldi viaggiano assieme ad altri cocktail da consegnare e arrivano in cassa dopo e a noi il resto non arriva in modo immediato...un cliente che prova a fregarti c'è sempre, dunque potrebbe dirti di averti dato di più di quanto effettivamente ti ha dato...il camierere non avrà prove per controbattere! Dunque UN BORSELLINO CON DEI SOLDI A OGNI CAMERIERE. Vi è andata forse un po' male avete trovato clienti del settore, che capiscono un po'.
