Boston Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Catania

As long-time Catania visitors, we were absolutely delighted to discover a new bar in town and couldn’t wait to see what it was all about. It’s a little bit off-center, but oh boy—can I guarantee you—it’s worth the trek.

On our first night, we arrived as innocent guests, and by the end of our stay, we left feeling like cherished family members. What a bar!

Francesco and Valentina are exceptional hosts, pouring heart and soul into their creation. Francesco is a delightfully overambitious and fun bartender who serves up all kinds of homemade delicacies. Local Sicilian ingredients mingle with more exotic touches, coming together with a fantastic top-shelf selection that includes a mezcal collection that would make any enthusiast filled with joy.

Francesco combines these elements with effortless balance and refined technique, while Valentina is the brilliant force in the background—crafting small bites and culinary surprises that elevate the whole experience. It’s a perfect harmony of hospitality, creativity, and genuine warmth.

We had a jolly good time meeting the neighbours and friends who frequent the bar—it’s clearly become a community hub where everyone is welcomed with a smile and a story.

If you’re in Catania and looking for more than just a drink, this bar is an experience not to be missed. Go once and you’ll be tempted to return again and again.

We absolutely loved our time at the Boston Bar. Francesco and Valentina are incredible hosts – friendly, genuine, and so easy to talk to. They made us feel completely at home, like we were regulars from the very first visit. The cocktails were fantastic – thoughtful, well-balanced, and really well made. You can tell they put a lot of care into everything they do. Oh, and the food is amazing too – gambas tartar after midnight 😅👍. Beautiful place. On our way to the hotel, we saw this beautiful place called Boston. I'm glad we stepped in, lovely hosts, nice atmosphere, good music, perfect cocktails. For sure best Bloody Mary I ever had (and I had some 😁).
