Spostatevi nel cuore della città , Piazza Duomo dove ci sono l’Elefante simbolo di Catania e la Fontana dell’Amenano. Alle spalle c’è la Piscaria, un antico mercato del pesce dove potrete anche degustare qualcosina . lì vicino c’è Via Gisira, la stradina con gli ombrelli colorati. A pranzo andate alla Pasticceria Savia e abbuffatevi di Arancini e Cannoli. Difronte la pasticceria si trova il Giardino Bellini , dove potrete rilassarvi. Tornando verso il centro troverete San Berillo, una stradina super colorata piena di street art. Infine salite sulla Cupola della Badia di Sant Agata , dove con 5 euro avrete una vista mozzafiato sulla città e sull’Etna. The Giardino Bellini is the oldest urban park of Catania. Before the construction of a public garden, the area was occupied by the garden maze or labyrinth owned by the Ignazio Paternò Castello, prince of Biscari. In 1854, the Comune di Catania bought the area of the maze, and in 1864 started to adapt the area into a public garden.Starting from 1875, the municipality acquired several further areas surrounding the maze, and two years later the work to unify these areas was undertaken. A guide from 1867 reports the gardens housed swan and geese, deer and cows, an aviary, and an enclosure of monkeys. The park has a white marble bust depicting Vincenzo Bellini and completed by Tito Angiolini. The Giardino Bellini was finally inaugurated in 1883. It’s like an oasis in the heart of the city with beautiful strelitzia flowers along the main steps to the top of the garden and wonderful trees that hide you with their big leaves or branches from the sun. Nice place to take a cup of coffee and enjoy the garden beauty.

These gardens are like as oasis amid the hustle and bustle of traffic and people rushing to and fro. I discovered the popular Giardino Bellini because we had been sight-seeing for quite some time and my feet needed a break. As you can imagine, when I spied this park I made a beeline for the entrance. Once you step off the busy sidewalk, there are plenty of benches where you can sit, rest and contemplate the carefully maintained lawns and beautiful tree lined avenues. As I sat and did some people watching, it was refreshing to see people of all ages pass by. There were folks pushing strollers, walking dogs, chatting with friends or just quietly reading. Why, there’s even a gazebo with a lovely view of the gardens and city from the top of the stairs. I especially appreciated the topiary in front of the gazebo saying ‘Giugno 2019’ so that in the photos I took I will remember where I was and when.

Nice park in the heart of Catania... There are so many trees and monuments... When you walking around city and especially when it's hot outside it's right place to relax and buy something in kiosk for drink to refresh and some snacks... There you can always see tourists and citizen who relax... From there you have nice view on city... Also there are few nice fountains... All recommendations for visit and take some nice pictures and videos and if you want to find shade place if you in Catania

Villa Bellini is one of the oldest parks in Catania which covers an area of around 70 thousands square meters. The park was first opened to the public in 1883. Today the park is one of the main attractions of the city of Catania and is recommended to visit. The park is perfectly preserved and the inside is very clean and well maintained. There is a flowerbed where every day the current date is laid out of plants.
