Best food we had on our holidays in Catania!!! We stumbled across this restaurant by accident, but what a wonderful hidden germ we discovered. It was a challenge to order food with no Italian beyond Grazie and Prego, but staff, who spoke little English, was so friendly and helpful and did their best to assist us. With some help of pictures on Instagram and Googlemap, we ordered Fiorentino di Cavallo (horse meat), two variaties of pork rolls staffed with pistachio and with ham and cheese, aubergine and paprika ragu Caponata Siciliana, tomato salad and chips. The horse stake was served on a very hot plate, and you finished cooking it by turning pieces. It was our first experience of horse meat, but everyone loved it. The meat had a smoky bbq flavour, very tender texture with a slightly sweet-ish flavour. Simple tomato salad was incredibly tasty and purfecly complemeted the stake. The interior of the restaurant was simple with a local radio station on, but we were too busy to notice anything beyond amazing yummy food. Highly recommend visiting this place if you are in Catania. Siamo stati al Bracere, giá in svariate occasioni e, devo dire, é diventata tappa fissa per noi e adesso per tanti amici con cui siamo venuto a cena. Lo consiglio vivamente anche agli ospiti della mía attività che nn sonó mai rimasti delusi. La trattoria é gestita dalla famiglia dei propietario, gentilissimi, simpátici e disponibili. La Qualità del cibo servito é top, buonissimo e soprattutto appena cotto,non riscaldato. I primi di pasta buonissimi e abbondanti (consiglio la Carbonara, anche per noi italiani che la conosciamo, è fatta benissimo) e i secondi di carne, che dire..provateli da Voi! Consiglio: palermitana di cavallo, gli spiedini di pollo e Maiale ma soprattutto la cipollata e la polpetta di cavallo al pistacchio! I contorni buonissimi e gli antipasti típici fatti" in casa", strabuoni, si possono puré ordinare da portar vía.Il dessert top, la torta pan di stelle, si fa mangiare da tutti, grandi e piccini.
