The decor and location of Trattoria Da Antonio immediately suggest that this is a simple establishment with straightforward cuisine. It’s an unpretentious and authentic atmosphere, typical of traditional Italian trattorias. The waiters were friendly and quickly took and served our orders. The service was straightforward and efficient, contributing to a pleasant and relaxed dining experience. We had Pasta alla Norma as an appetizer, and for the main courses, we ordered mussels and the mixed grill. We also ordered a plate of grilled vegetables. The quality of the food was good, and overall, the meal was solidly prepared. It was honest, tasty cuisine without any big surprises. As a simpler establishment, Trattoria Da Antonio offers a fair price-performance ratio. You get good ingredients for your money, and the prices are reasonable for what is provided. Trattoria Da Antonio is a simple restaurant with simple cuisine, successfully offering a pleasant and down-to-earth dining experience. It’s a good place to spend an enjoyable evening with solid Italian food. If you’re not expecting fine dining but rather value authentic and tasty dishes, you won’t be disappointed here.

The neglectful service ruined everything. I ordered the Crudo e Melone, which was delicious and fresh. Then, however, I had to wait at least thirty minutes for the pasta to arrive, while watching every table around me receive their meals... Even those who arrived after I had finished my first course. When the pasta arrived, I said "finalmente", and the smug larger waiter just said "we are full", without any kind of understanding. Everyone else had long finished eating! I found him dismissive and disrespectful. The waiters likely neglected to inform the kitchen that I had finished my first course. I continued to be completely ignored by him. The pasta was ok, but a relatively small portion. So, I left hungry. It's a shame that 'the table for one' remains the loneliest, because not even the staff care to check in. *****RESPONSE TO OWNER***** It wouldn't be wise to tell me what I understand. I worked in hospitality for over a decade, in different cities. So, what I understand is that there were three floor staff serving 25 people max. 11 tables. I can recount everyone I saw. You certainly exaggerate when you say you were taking care of over 50 people. There were three of you, taking care of 25. I didn't think that there were two of me at home on a Sunday night. That's condescending. There was one of me, it was lunch time, and I thought I was a guest at your restaurant, who was hoping to enjoy the experience I was PAYING for. A table for one is still part of your income, and deserves fair treatment. Instead of reflecting on my feedback, you've misrepresented my experience, and attempted to gaslight other diners who pay attention to honest experiences, and reality. Shame on you.

good sicilian style seafood antipasto, and bread, though a bit pricey. oddly enough, the place was said to be booked out with reservations, and therefore I was limited to one out-of-the-way table outside in a noisy area meanwhile the inside and rest of the restaurant was empty the whole time I dined, no one else came in. this same scenario has repeated itself in other restaurants as well. It seems that the custom in Sicily is when you make a reservation you don't have to tell them a time, you simply own the table for the entire day; therefore they had to block all those empty tables not knowing what time anyone was going to come in.

Overrated and wanna be “fine dining”. I feel bad going to eat here after reading the reviews, seeing the rated stars and watching the photos of various foods from people’s posts. I ordered “pasta with scampi” and I am dissatisfied and disgusted by the taste of it. Very oily, lack of aromatic herbs, shrimps were just cut in half and with their antena, one of the antena stuck in my throat and it was uncomfortable to eat, took me a while to spit it out. The tables are outside, nothing fancy, nothing luxury for an 18€ portion of pasta, and surprise, some tables were near garbage disposal. Well, bad luck for me I guess! Take care!

Italian food culture can be fussy, so I really appreciated this unfussy but delicious restaurant. Service was excellent (English is spoken if you need it). Having skipped lunch, I had a very generous three courses, dessert, and a glass of wine for about 40€. I particularly enjoyed the very simple insalata pomodorino with fresh spring wild onions, rigatoni alla Norma, and the casseta for dessert. The space is calm and pleasant, but I wish it was a little less bright (I prefer a darker restaurant). Vegetarians would also be happy here as there are plenty of good options in the antipasti and primi sections.

Our experince deserves solid four stars. We tried antipasti – ham and mozzarella, penne alla norma and farfalle with salomon. Antipasti were great (5/5), bread delicious (5/5), my norma was good, but sometimes little bit bitter (maybe from over/undercooked eggplant? 4/5), girlfriend´s farfalle not so good, a little bit fatty and taste too strong (3/5). What was very nice is huge selection of wines by glass: They ask us what type we want (red/white, dry/sweet) and after that they offered a sample to try. In conclusion: Good experience, nice staff, good food for very nice prices. We can recomend.
